  1. Today's 'megawalk' was great fun and really well attended. Thanks Ian for being such a good guide to south east London - discovered and learnt so much about the area. I'm off to soak my weary feet.
  2. you can buy a small second hand fridge for his room. thats what i had and my stocks of stella were never stolen. sounds like a prank though. or some stoners.
  3. life is the bit of time between being born and being dead. some people spend it happy, some people sad. some people spend it rich or poor or healthy or sick. some spend it pious, some spend it drunk. some even spend it in a coma. its all life and the only person who can judge the quality of your life is you.
  4. I'd move any mountain to stop my kid sucking his thumb. Even Shamanism.
  5. have PM'd you
  6. a pencil eraser?
  7. I have just finished reading Vlad: the Last Confession by CC Humphreys. Really interesting viewpoint on the impaler's atrocities. Good medieval fun too.
  8. Aim - Hinterland
  9. some yobs stamped a fawn to death near where my Mum lives. and then some other yobs stamped a popular Big Issue seller to death nearby too. makes you wonder doesn't it.
  10. ooh they are noisy buggers arent they.
  11. Great suggestions thanks. I have ordered the 3D connect 4 one for the missus' birthday as she once hammered me at that in a pub over the course of 3 hours and about 30 games. I got Operation for my Mum last christmas (don't ask) and it's RUBBISH. They have removed all the real body parts and replaced them with pathetically PC euphemisms...
  12. I have been given a ?100 amazon voucher and I want to get some board games. Currently I have backgammon, monopoly and scrabble (deluxe, no less). Any suggestions on board games - my mind is all a-blank. Also has anyone played bananagrams? Is it worth buying instead of travel scrabble? Thanks
  13. its just a lukewarm latte served up by irrepressible staff that dress like chuggers.
  14. "back home...[life is so perfect].."
  15. Think I'll come along on Sunday morning to Ruskin Park too!
  16. This is such a classic troll tactic: say something moronic and insulting. wait for someone to respond saying dont be so moronic and insulting and then say: ha, you are so defensive - you must be one of these people to whom my moronic and insulting invective is directed. very yawnsome.
  17. They could run a drinks bingo night where every 20 minutes a certain drop goes at half price provided you can drink the whole bottle in that 20 minutes. Get some whizzy lights, an MC... just an idea.
  18. I think we all know that these kind of measures don't apply to 'us'. Simper Simper.
  19. do a 'shop price' night without corkage? Fancy getting ratarsed.
  20. i have an orange dongle and mostly if works fine but sometimes the connection goes down and i cant use 3G I have to use a normal connection and its slower.
  21. Middle class morons sat in the Palmerston sneering at people not as amazing as themselves non-shocker.
  22. how do you access the free stuff? i have the sony one.
  23. Yes I recently went on a 2 week holiday and had to resort to reading the dodgy offerings in the hotel as got through what I took in no time. Still, I must say I quite enjoyed a bit of Grisham and that Shantaram book. I reckon I will use the reader for non-fiction stuff. I just can't imagine that I'd have the same 'relationship' with a novel if it was presented to me on screen.
  24. I was given one this weekend and I have mixed feelings towards it... isn't thumbing through the worn pages of an old classic all part of the appeal? Does anyone have one and have any thoughts on them?
  25. Weatherspoons are great. Cheaper double vodka redbull so I can get loaded up before throwing my weight around in the Bishop late-doors.
