Greyhound is a nice pub but the food is average at best. Would go for Franklins.

I would suggest giving the Citizens Advice Bureau a call, they can help speak to the bailiffs on your behalf, but Im afraid your credit rating is indeed connected to the addresses you live at.

Experience of Difficult Neighbours and Party Wall Agreements
DrinkingBuddy replied to susyp's topic in The Lounge
You don't need an agreement for a new wall as long as it is on your land. The advantage to your neighbour of agreeing to a new party wall is if they / future owners ever wanted to extend to it it is available for them. If you have built up to the party line (but remained on your side) they would have to leave a gap to prevent damp there by reducuicing the size on their side, if they didn't and damaged your wall they would be liable for damage. Personally I'd suggest spending a few hundred quid with a lawyer to explain the situation. -

Buying a house in East Dulwich? expect sealed bids!
DrinkingBuddy replied to Pendragon's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I'm missing your point. In many countries this is the only legal bidding process and prevents buyers from having the pressure of continually increasing bids putting pressure on them to increase theirs. I for one would actually prefer a legally binding blind bid be th only allowed process, where by the accepted bid has to go through to closure. As someone who was gazzumpee during open bids all the way up to exchange day on one particular property I would be appreciative of this kind of guarantee. -
Does anyone know what happened in Hansler Road last night? There were a couple of loud bangs and some shouting at about 21:20 followed by a couple of men hurrying off up the street. Twentry minutes later there were police going door to door and a police cordon around one of the houses towards Lordship Lane.
