Yay! Just took delivery of lovely fresh tree. :)
-
Well, just had a phone call from nice man, who really IS nice - apparently they couldn't read the house number he'd written on the tag! Our tree should be arriving this evening, so all is well and faith in humanity is restored. :) Thank goodness - I was *not* looking forward to breaking it to the kids that we'd be decorating a branch from out the garden this year. :)
-
Yes, it's reassuring. As was the nice man who said the delivery would definitely be before 10pm.... in fact it would be early evening. :( Gutted. Can't justify spending that money again this close to Christmas food shop.
-
Bumping this to see if anyone else has had delivery issues. I paid ?60 this afternoon, and was told our tree would be delivered today. No sign of it yet. Have I been ripped off?

Can you recommend 'reading' books for a 5 year old

Rather than buying new off amazon, why not have a look in the family classifieds?... (apologies if your amazon purchases were seconds!) -
?10 to hire a table at the Normanton Road Methodist Church shindig in Forest Hill.

You could try Alleyn's Junior school. They have a chicken run with some ex-battery girls.

Parents of little one's at Alleyn's from age 5+....

Try asking on http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk , Bionic_Dave; there is not infrequently discussion of SW and SE London preps and private schools, including AJS. -

Anyone have a pet rabbit? Are they clean/ smelly?
edd replied to Polmoche's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Worth remembering too that they live in large groups naturally, and still have this instinct. They will be miserably lonely on their own - human companionship is little comfort to them. You need to get at least a pair. That needs plenty of room!
