  1. Hi HelBel65! I would love to see a photo of your path in 2020, please, as we?re thinking about getting ours done. TIA.
  2. Alleyns do a great one http://www.alleyns.org.uk/holidaycamps
  3. Yay! Just took delivery of lovely fresh tree. :)
  4. Well, just had a phone call from nice man, who really IS nice - apparently they couldn't read the house number he'd written on the tag! Our tree should be arriving this evening, so all is well and faith in humanity is restored. :) Thank goodness - I was *not* looking forward to breaking it to the kids that we'd be decorating a branch from out the garden this year. :)
  5. Yes, it's reassuring. As was the nice man who said the delivery would definitely be before 10pm.... in fact it would be early evening. :( Gutted. Can't justify spending that money again this close to Christmas food shop.
  6. Bumping this to see if anyone else has had delivery issues. I paid ?60 this afternoon, and was told our tree would be delivered today. No sign of it yet. Have I been ripped off?
  7. Still, at least they chose a night when there wouldn't be loads of little kiddies out late in dark clothes. Oh wait........ Idiots. Roared through FH too (though earlier than ED, by the sound of it).
  8. Rather than buying new off amazon, why not have a look in the family classifieds?... (apologies if your amazon purchases were seconds!)
  9. ?10 to hire a table at the Normanton Road Methodist Church shindig in Forest Hill.
  10. You could try Alleyn's Junior school. They have a chicken run with some ex-battery girls.
  11. Try asking on http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk , Bionic_Dave; there is not infrequently discussion of SW and SE London preps and private schools, including AJS.
  12. Serves you right for trying to tout yourself out to ED, Sugarmountain. You're mine, all miiiine!:)
  13. You could try posting on the SE23.com forum as well, if you would like to make friends in FH.
  14. Worth remembering too that they live in large groups naturally, and still have this instinct. They will be miserably lonely on their own - human companionship is little comfort to them. You need to get at least a pair. That needs plenty of room!
  15. Actually, Lewisham collect mattresses for free - but they do charge for other stuff.
  16. That photo is definitely a brown rat (rattus norvegicus), not a water vole/rat. Too cute! :)
  17. Please can someone recommend a person/firm who can clean our inherited Rayburn? It is really very grubby. Thanks for any responses.
  18. But I'm not sure what gaudy tulips could arise from the average dog turd!
  19. Oh, I agree it's rubbish. (And that Dulwich is Dullsville nowadays) Just making the point that rents are high because there are enough suckers wiling to pay - for the moment.
  20. Hardly, civilservant. I imagine most right-thinking souls are fairly revolted by the sight of some hound coiling one out. Unless your tastes run to that sort of thing, of course. :)
  21. Yeah, but SE23 isn't East Dulwich, is it? It's all about the postcode for some people.
  22. Yes. My daughter did it for a year. It starts off fun, but because of the limited range of games and the uber-repetitive nature of the tasks, quickly palls. I haven't renewed my subscription. There is no way to skip bits, either - one has to work doggedly through the whole programme, which didn't really suit my daughter.
