    Livid....

They weren't Rangers fans by any chance?
  2. As a direct answer to your question Mick I would say the latter given the number of bullshi**ers I've come across in life who appear to have done well for themselves.
  3. There's an interesting article in one of the supplements of the Sunday Times today regarding this whole topic.
  4. I disagree new mother. People gave their opinions based on their experiences with children for the most part. The intervention or lackof by the state in childrearing in neither here nor there. Given that social services have enough on their hands dealing with serious cases of child neglect whatever depth this thread has/had was borne from personal experiences of the people who know best in most cases, parents.
  5. Impetuous, is the attack an unfair one?
  6. Intelligence is knowing what to do when you don't know what to do. Well at least that's what a quote I stole from somewhere said. I quite like it. It doesn't make sense but sort of does.
  7. Ah......The Intergalactical Laxative will get me from here to Mars
  8. Viva Espana How to commentate the Spanish way.

  10. Did I ever tell you how glamorous you looked OD?
  11. Costello?
  12. What I don't get OD is you thinking you were glamorous and only having a couple of teeth and nearly bald. I used to be Elvis!
  13. Did you meet Dougal or Florence on your trip Zeb? Tell me it was magical.
  14. The Clancy Brothers will get ya PGC.
  15. This isn't bad
  16. I reckon NZ to beat SA by less than 12.5 points @ 2.76 is good value. SA haven't won in Eden Park since 1937 though because of rebuilding for next years WC the capacity is only going to be 17,500.Historically they have played 78 times and the average points difference is in NZ's favour but by less than 3 points. I reckon it will be close tomorrow too.
  17. Less so if you didn't bet on Holland at all and Spain won, presumably. Is this not called hedging?
  18. Keef Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Out of interest, what do you think would be > appropriate action from Social Services in these > circumstances? Apologies if I misunderstood what you were referring to. I understood it to be the title of the thread but it would seem not.
  19. Given the previous post to your's Keef, I'd say they have more important cases to deal with. If they were to take up this 'case' what could they do? The parents are not harming their kids in a way they will be scarred for life.
  20. Would you be more or less astounded if you were abducted by aliens, for example?

  22. Some year's ago my wife wrote off our car. What I can remember is that firstly the insurers requested confirmation that it was a write off by having it taken to a local garage. They advised which garage. Once it's status as a write off had been confirmed the insurers made an offer. I remember being able to haggle somewhat by stating it was kept in very good condition and was worth more. Regarding the courtesy car, you would need to check your policy as it may or may not be included. I don't think distress or inconvenience caused to you comes into the equation.
  23. Why are you astounded? What does it feel like?
  24. Did he kick it with style? If so he may have a career with England in the future so down knock it.
  25. Who is this a serious concern for jr? You called someone a hypocrite. Aren't loads of people like that?
