Feck Quids..........how do they know?

Some years ago now but I was sent along with my younger brother to the convent 3 miles away instead of the local boys college. Most of my teachers were nuns and as they had only started taking in boys, I was just one of 5 in a class of thirty. The school got the best results in the area. However after 3 years of it I asserted my authority and told my parents I wanted to leave and both of us moved to the boys school for the rest of our secondary education. After three years of nuns I began to hate the place. At the age I started there I probably would have enjoyed myself more in a boys only school. The only plusses were sitting next to Geraldine Daly and admiring boobs. Alas I was too immature to do anything about it. Then came two funfilled years in the less well respected boys school. I probably didn't learn much but I enjoyed the boyish banter with both the kids and the male teachers which just didn't exist previously. Thus I would say that if it had been the other way around (boys school first, then the convent)I may have got the fun bit out of the way earlier and subsequently gained a decent education. Having experienced both I know which I enjoyed most though.

Help Geeks please. An advert keeps rearing it head on my laptop offering to get me a flat belly in three weeks. How do I get rid of it and others like it? I log on to the net using AOL 9.1 but have used Internet Explorer's security section to isolate this ad but to no effect. This method seems to have stopped other adverts though not all. Can I use Norton Internet Security to catch it or what would you suggest? Thanks in advance.

Brendan Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Can I make a request that we keep the > sanctimonious opinions regarding other peoples? > parenting restricted to the Family Room please? Brendan, if there aren't divided opinions about the OP we would all be sitting on a fence, some smoking and a bit further down (depending on wind direction),others not. Besides the Family Room is all sweetness and light isn't it?

Well it does appear far fetched I'll admit. The only possible motive for not telling the truth that I can think of is that the mark was caused by something/someone else.

She would appear to lack nothing materially and physically is quite beautiful. I have no idea what's between her ears. However my question about gangs was because I wondered if the attack was abandoned due to a certain culture that exists between gangs. S'pose you wont be giving any hugs then?

Jesus wasn't Irish. His Dad Joe was though, before he emigrated. Come to think of it I suppose he still was afterwards. Better check as I haven't read much about Joe......apart from his owning a shop in Mullingar.

DM, I do believe this is worthy of inclusion in Woof's 'Top Tips' thread, if you can find it. PS Will ya be having a dance in the park at the w/end? Lar Cunningham is playing.

Oh right. Surely Rod is the main danger to Tim so? Well Ken never wins does he.

Well Daizie, that told you. Now, what is a winner or for that matter a loser?

So you managed to spot a difference Ed.Note it down. It might be useful later. PS Isn't the use of the word 'descended' a bit condescending?

I think you would need to be dark skinned James for it to wash though.

I don't wish to spread panic but our neighbour told my wife that last night her daughter was stopped at knifepoint. The girl is 16 and one of the two attackers held the knife to her throat/neck. They wanted her phone. It seems she got rid of them simply by saying her boyfriend is a member of a particular 'gang' in Croydon. When they heard this they scarpered. This occured at about 10 pm. Did anyone notice anything? What is it about gang culture that would cause this reaction? She seemed easy prey for two males. I don't recall previous cases of muggings in the area involving the use of knives, but I may be wrong.

Strangely enough Lost Yorkshire Man was enquiring about golf some time ago. I don't consider what I do with a golf club to be golf but it might help proper golfers if you mentioned where you were planning on playing. A Yorkshire Gooner?
