I got given Two Fat Ladies CookBook for Xmas once and tonight on my evening off I cooked Duck with Grapefruit sauce and it was yummy. Don't often cook, not very good at it, but I can read a recipe and do what I am told so it wasn't rubbish.

Khewl Make it end of the week rather than beginning, as audiences are livelier. Dunno why! We end Sunday 9th Dec @ 6pm (and Tues to Sats 7.30pm) Tonight was me evening off and I cooked like a girl. Whatever that means.

Bacon sarnies? I'll be there. Now - can't remember who it was on 1st page but someone said Ayres is not as good as it was. Yes it bloody is. It's just more expensive. Price of raw materials and so on and like that there yaknow for sure but.... stuff is still good there. Only gripe I have is they don't do organic bread. But their stuff is still fabulous. What's wrong with ya!

I LOVE Ed Reardon's Week on a Friday. As a writer, with my mates who are writers, it is a MUST. But yes, I am a Radio 4 person too, thought mostly usually mornings. Only thing that gets me mad is that only religious people are allowed to have a thought for the day. If you are not superstitious or religious they think you are not worthy of a thought for the day. British Humanists Association lobbies tham about that issue. But yeah, I used to listen to BBC London Radio till itgot to being a talk radio show with whining people, and can't STAND Robert Elms, so now I play Radio 4 in morning and my own music afternoons.

Ummm a great addition for Peckham Rye, too :D Had a full vegetarian English there this morning 9.30am seeing off a fciend who had come down from Cheshire to see my play in Kentish Town...! She was mighty impressed with where we live, the beautiful park on a cold frosty morning, and the very wonderful welcome we had in the cafe. She had been one of those "London's too busy for me" people, but thought Peckham Rye was absolutely delightful and peaceful. And she loved the play ;) ;) Mellors Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > A great addition to East Dulwich, I wish them all > the very best.

Hope some of you will find time to pop up to Kentish Town and see this. Afterwards, sit in the pub and get over the shock (!) then ask a cast member for Sam South. I'll be there. Would be nice to meet you....

Who cycles to work from East Dulwich?
PeckhamRose replied to willma's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
My partner cycles to work in Bromley from Peckham Rye. 8 miles each way, and takes him about 50 minutes door to door because, he says, he refuses to rush. He has been cycling since he was a little boy though we are both motorcyclists primarily. He has thighs like rock. It is so cool.... ;) I work from home mostly so try and cycle round the park a bit (and to EDF meetings....) and now shall cycle all the way to the cafe when I have time. Then eat some cake there. -
Ladies & Gentlemen, Doms & subs, Tops and bottoms, WE HAVE A SHOW!
-
Thank you thank you. Some of my actors have never been involved in this, but they bloody are now. I would be so honoured and delighted if some of you would come. I shall be there every night. Who's the chick? Well she is none other than Lady Sarah of the FemDomSociety (dot com) and the artist she commissioned to draw her and her sub is SARDAX.com They both gave me permission to use the picture for the flier. Yes, do come, but leave the little ones at home.... Any questions, feel free to email me.

Thank you. Now where's those journalist reviewer folks from this site....

Hi all At last, and I apologise for keeping you waiting. We are now up and running and open Thursday. A GOOD SUB STORY is a play about an estranged father-son relationship, set against the background of people who are happily living in fulfilling Dominant/submissive relationships. It's their families and careers that screw them up.... This is not a kid's show, but an intelligent and controversial exploration of the people who find this way of life attractive. People like your neighbours, friends, doctor, lawyer, shop assistant, you? Details are: A GOOD SUB STORY Produced by Act Provocateur International Directed by Victor Sobchak Lion & Unicorn Theatre 44-46 Gaisford Street Kentish Town London NW5 2ED Opens Thursday 22nd November to Sunday 9th December. Tues to Sat 7.30pm Sundays 6.00pm Not playing Mondays. ?10 / ?8 concessions. Theatre Company webpage http://www.actprovocateur.net/home.html Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=5567949763 Streetmap: http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x=529083&y=184885&z=0&sv=NW5+2ED&st=2&pc=NW5+2ED&mapp=newmap.srf&searchp=newsearch.srf (Fliers say it opens tomorrow but we have had to postpone that by a couple of days.) No actors will be harmed in the production of this play.... Might be an idea to book. The details are on the company webpage above. Peckham Rose aka Sam South

Hi - anyone got a TANGRAM (or indeed any wooden puzzle)? A Tangram is an old Chinese puzzle consisting of seven different shaped pieces that you put together in different ways to make lots of different types of shapes. ANYWAY does anyone have one we can borrow for my play? I know - I KNOW - but I PROMISE I will list this play in a few days. We had a nightmare problem with one of our cast and those who saw me at FHT will know what happened! We've just replaced his replacement! Anyway, what I can not promise is a credit / thank you in the programme as it may be too late. But a free ticket should be in order! I can pick it up tomorrow evening or Sunday. The bigger the better a Tangram! OR - any clever wooden puzzle. It has a ten second mention in the play. Thanks gang. Email me.

Depends on where you move to, doesn't it.

Oh my god I so can't wait for the opportunity to go. Did someone say "Full English"? Is there any ever reason to leave SE15 / SE22? No, seriously?

I live round the corner. It's absolutely lovely here. I have lived here 24 years and to quote a certain fictional character "It just keeps getting better and better." You are in the middle of Peckham Rye Park - (new cafe opening soon) with The Clockhouse pub on the other side (fabulous pub and friendly landlord in Laurence) - and the very beautiful overgrown Nunhead Cemetery which stuns the friends and visitors I may have stay over, when I haul them round for a walk on a Sunday morning. Meanwhile, in Nunhead you have some of the sweetest individual shops - from Wendy and Sonia in AG Flowers, Sopers the fish shop, the lovely butchers and Ayres the bakers, and so on, and all the lovely pubs along there too. And the not so lovely pubs. Nunhead Surgery at 58 Nunhead Grove has some of the friendliest doctors I have known (I have medical conditions so see them more than the average person maybe). I am sure others can add more, but you got me in a quiet moment and I never take for granted how lucky I am in life in even the little things. Hope that's a good start!

Friday 9 - November EDF drink at The Forest Hill Tavern
PeckhamRose replied to Michael Palaeologus's topic in The Lounge
Oh dear really? I felt terribly embarrassed! I was SO looking forward to meeting everyone and just sit there quietly with lots of beer and enjoy the faces behind the names on here. Sounds like you all got quite a thang going....! -

PeckhamRose replied to Michael Palaeologus's topic in The Lounge
Hi everyone, Sorry I could not stay but thanks for the warm welcome from those of you at the beginning when I was there. You will be pleased to know we have a replacement lead actor for our play and so next week sometime I shall post the poster and links to the website. Incidentally, can someone teach me how to type code so that I write the words COME SEE MY PLAY and then when you scroll over it, it's a link? Ta. -

My flat, Peckham Rye. East side (SE15 side). High on hill looking out at view of whole of London and looking at fireworks. Fabulous!
