  1. My comments were at Bic Basher not you - also I didn't mention the 3.
  2. you've conveniently misunderstood the sentence, so probably best not to try 'snark' until you do. PTAL is not 'one of the worst in southwark' in the area around ED station, it is worse in the leafier bits of Dulwich HTH! 3. Have they been removed though? - or just moved elsewhere? They were too close to the junction and caused conflict for the 37/42 bus Bic Basher Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > rahrahrah Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > We need to stop providing huge amounts of free > > (publicly subsidised) space for car storage. 4. So in summary: Dulwich Village - hotly contested with lots of canvassing from Lib Dems and Tories plus Labour. Dulwich Hill - apparently credible Tory candidates but didn't bother with hustings and no one has heard from them - some people have a lib dem leaflet. Labour canvassing. Goose Green - Labour canvassing, no one else. Some people have had lib dem leaflets but doesn't seem to be widespread. Think that covers it!
  5. No - I don't think that anyone will. Was just wondering if you did?
  6. Which party do you think will remove the CPZ by your house? trinidad Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Waseley Wrote: > -------------------------------------------------- > ----- > > Well you just can win can you? 7. Its not one of the worst in the area around East Dulwich Station - it is in the leafier bits of Dulwich - mainly cos its a straight line measurement and the playing fields obviously don't have bus routes... 40 was a good bus - and it is ridiculous that it now doesn't go to London Bridge, but thankfully today its just East Dulwich thats the issue and not the whole line.
  8. Oru doesn't have steps into the cafe and has more space than most. If no joy on the hairdressers or nail salon, what about someone like Emma Robyn nails who travel to you, or recommendations for a mobile hairdresser?
  9. I'd imagine its a response to the point that was put on here where the lib dems have tried to claim that everyone on their ticket lives 'around' or 'nearby' Goose Green, whereas the reality is that they 'don't! Its weird to lie or stretch the bounds of credibility in this way though and undermines them. Leeming lives in Southwark as far as I know, just not in the ward itself.
  10. Problem with the platform 'equipment' apparently - though the mind boggles as East Dulwich is barely a station, nevermind one with 'equipment'. Apparently you can join the service at North Dulwich or Peckham Rye. Southbound services will be stopping at East Dulwich.
  11. So in summary - whilst there have been lots of lib dem leaflets in Dulwich Village (legalalien, rockets, hammerman) and a bit in Dulwich Hill and virtually nothing in Goose Green. CPR Dave and Singalto have had one leaflet, none of my neighbours in goose green ward have had any. Confirms my understanding that whilst the Lib Dems want to have a full ticket in all wards, that they're not really standing credible candidates here who actually want the role.
  12. This is why I was asking specifically about Goose Green Ward. I know that the lib dems are actively campaigning Dulwich Village. They are out meeting people and trying to put their case forward. Its the strange situation in Goose Green I'm talking about where there has been no canvassing by anyone except labour and the lib Dem candidates are people i couldn't pick out of a line out - whereas normally by this point there would have been leaflets landing on my doormat with their faces on for the last month.
  13. The thing is, people who are passionate about being elected do tend to do at least a little big of door knocking /leafleting We've had absolutely nothing other than labour leaflets this time which is a huge change from previous elections. James Barber used to be out talking to people door to door, these three haven't even managed to post a pic of their faces through my door.
  14. Interesting. Have they been out canvassing you then CPR Dave? I've had zero flyers from them - not a single campaigning knock at the door, nothing. This is a massive change from previous local elections. It doesn't feel like they actively want to be councillors here, more that they just needed some names on the ballot.
  15. Following up on my previous comment re 'paper candidates' - has anyone actually been canvassed by Lib Dem candidates in Goose Green ward? Suspect that the majority of those thinking of voting for them either do so at a national level or are doing so on the basis of the work James Barber put in (who was an excellent local councillor and someone I voted for based on his personal effectiveness in the past). This time I haven't had anything from the Lib Dems locally and it doesn't feel like they're putting up credible candidates in Goose Green who actually want to be councillors.
  16. Perhaps we could stop having chicane barriers on more 'remote paths' - aside from the discrimination under the equalities act angle, they do nothing to stop their stated aim of stopping mopeds driving along there! There was better lighting put on Greendale a few years ago - but I don't think its particularly dark on that path - but i do think that the fact there are chicane barriers is a safety concern in this instance.
  17. Why would burglars mark houses with stickers / caps / weird chalk markings. Surely whatsapp would be more efficient! I'd imagine in this case that one of your neighbours was having survey work done.
  18. Your personal theory is just that though - something you've thought of. Whereas the rest of us have provided data showing why you're not correct and yet its not enough to stop you speaking at length about what you (wrongly in this case) think. It isn't clear that anything is being manipulated outside of your mind.
  19. I did look at that and obviously there are issues with the TFL estimates as they restated their data at a point in the past. That's why I just looked at the ones that were actual counts rather than estimates as they're more reliable. You're unfortunately conflating arguments with your declining car use point - yes the overall miles travelled had started to decline but the split between main roads and side streets had totally changed. Again - stick to facts and leave the personal insults out. I was going to say that you wouldn't be this rude in real life, but am starting to wonder if that's the case!
  20. Also - this argument doesn't hold up when you look at the DFT annual count figures from, yes, you guessed it, outside the hospital site. They also back up the September 2019 figure as aligned with earlier counts. So its not that there was any artificial inflation of the pre figure. https://roadtraffic.dft.gov.uk/manualcountpoints/37649 Rockets Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Legal - what a brilliant find....when did the > Champion Hill closure go in - this report, and the > monitoring, seems to have been used to determine > the displacement onto other roads and, guess what, > EDG was taking the brunt of the displaced traffic > from the Champion Hill closure according to this > report. > > Ha ha, you couldn't make it up - the council used > the increases in traffic on EDG from the Champion > Hill closure to then help validate the "success" > of the EDG LTN closure a few years later - robbing > Peter to pay Paul anyone!!! ;-).
  21. The page i sent you literally says how to find it - it says that the information is available on Southwark maps on the 'highways' map layer. The first time I tried it I clicked the wrong one and didn't get the info so I tried again on the basis there were directions included! In terms of the data - yes it has definitely been updated as I had previously (on this thread I think) been saying how the lack of data was unhelpful. Its still the case that all the data that is included in that dashboard has not been fully uploaded, but it does seem to change so suspect there is a long drawn out process at the council for uploading it! @Heartblock - no, your theory is incorrect. The January 2019 data is for partial school holidays (beginning of January) and as you'll notice the traffic on EDG is always much lower when schools are out - most noticeably the private schools that are located on EDG. I'll have a look where the Jan figures are - they were definitely on that interactive map for a while which is when i wrote them down, but no idea if they're still there. 22. 'I can't find the data but I'm very confident it isn't there, and even if it is, its wrong' Does that cover it?
  23. The webpage I linked to which explains where the data is held, also explains how you access it.
  24. I don't really know how to move forward from this 'there isn't any data' statement when its genuinely on a public access interactive map. There is data and it is available to you. Go to the map, select 'highways' as the layer and then click on the dot. There are multiple observations on the dot near to the Tessa Jowell Health centre, one of which is the September 2019 data. Click the link within the 2019 count summary and you get a summary document
  25. Have you looked at the map i linked to as it seems that you've said the same thing again. There is data for September 2019 on the mapping. Its a dot, you click it, there is data. Even with the net fall in overall traffic (which is debatable in areas like this) then EDG central still has less traffic than it did. Edited to add data: For anyone else unable to find the data: September 2019 at East Dulwich Grove Central (so between MG and Townley) - 7 day average 15,929 Sept 21 at ED Grove central - 12,730 Oct 21: 12,016 Nov 21: 12,421 Dec 21: 10,746 Jan 22: 12,411
