James on the 22nd Feb you told us that you live on Champion Hill, is your view of the scheme working tainted by this fact ? James Barber Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > PS. I live on Champion Hill and majority of our > car journeys are now longer but we're also making > fewer as a family as a result of the closure. So > all those streets we would have driven along will > be benefiting... Are you one of the well connected residents mentioned in the Southwark news article ? I suspect you have a biased reason for seeing this scheme work despite the views of residents outside of the narrow consultation roads being ignored (figure 8 , page 8 of the councils own report https://consultations.southwark.gov.uk/environment-leisure/championhilltrial/supporting_documents/Consultation%20summary%20and%20next%20steps%20v1.0.pdf showed only 135 were in favour out of 364 overall respondents ) Surly now, with reported evidence of increased pollution, journey times and cars using surrounding roads as a result of this ill thought through trial, it should be abandoned and the project manager who implemented it against the majority view should go back to the drawing board to look at traffic issues as a whole and not to the benefit of residents in a single road.

Colakid, it could be a mason bee , they hatch from a cocoon around the beginning of April and with the warm February we had some could be hatching early, normally very unlikely to sting and they lay their young in cracks or holes in walls, wood or similar Look them up and see if they are similar to the ones you saw

I love the emails I get that go something like QUOTE Hi, your account has been hacked! Modify your password right away! You do not know me me and you really are most likely wondering why you're getting this email, is it right? I'm ahacker who crackedyour email boxand all devicesseveral months ago. You should not try out to talk to me or alternatively find me, in fact it's not possible, because I forwarded you this message using YOUR hacked account. I started malware soft to the adult videos (porno) website and guess you spent time on this site to enjoy it (you know what I want to say). While you have been watching videos, your browser started out to act as a RDP (Remote Control) that have a keylogger which provided me the ability to access your monitor and web camera. Afterward, my softwareaquiredall data. You have put passcodes on the web-sites you visited, I sniffed all of them. Of course, you are able change each of them, or possibly already modified them. But it doesn't matter, my app renews information every time. What actually I have done? I compiled a backup of every your device. Of each file and contact lists. I created a dual-screen videofile. The 1 section shows the clip you were observing (you have the perfect preferences, huh...), and the 2nd screen shows the recording from your own camera. What must you do? Clearly, in my opinion, 1000 USD is basically a fair price for our small riddle. You'll make the deposit by bitcoins (in case you don't understand this, search ?how to buy bitcoin? in Google). Important: You will have 2 days in order to make the payment. To tracethe reading of a letterand the activityin it, I installeda Facebook pixel. Thanks to them. (Everything thatcan be usedfor the authorities may helpus.) If I fail to get bitcoins, I shall immediately offer your video to each of your contacts, along with family members, colleagues, and many more UNQUOTE Two things strike me as untrue 1. I always cover my webcam over 😜 2. I've been getting these for months now and no one has received the promised video 😏 Still my spam filter catches them, and I get a good laugh

TheArtfulDogger replied to Zak's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Hi Nxjen As I understand it, the 50% figure is based on the petition that the businesses have been collecting, with a roughly equally split of local and outside ED postcodes gleamed from the over 8,000 signatures. Fairly good evidence to support the claim, which is more than the council have done to understand the demographics of shoppers and what effects a CPZ could have on local businesses. I still remember when sainsburys on dog kennel hill opened all those years ago, a large number of food business and others shut up shop due to the supermarkets competition, which has taken over 20 years to reverse. I heard Deadship Lane and other phrases used at that time, I guess different people heard different things. One of the options being consulted on at the moment by the council includes the CPZ being in operation on Saturday as well as during the week. In my opinion, what was presented was hardly scaremongering by the businesses but their genuine fear about the introduction of a CPZ and it's potential negative effect on our thriving and independent high street. Personally, after living here through the period after Sainsburys came along, I for one don't want to see local businesses being forced out of the area by yet another barrier for them, do you? -

Hi James To reiterate my question, what are the design differences between the consulted on implementation of the quietway and what the council are now proposing to implement ? -

Hello James On the 30th Jan you said you were going to find out more about the proposed changes to the quietway We are still waiting for you to respond -
I can only Herald that as an an outside Observer, I am glad to see Macros managed to Express their concern and is being a "Sport" about it Read all about it "Saturday Guardian section found on the dark side of the moon" 🤓

Sign of The Times when the Guardian has missing sections, maybe call for an Independent review or send out a message via The Telegraph about how it is making you hotter under the collar than The Sun It maybe that The Standard of the paper has just slipped.

The commuter stalking was a common > complaint. > > I do not work for, and have no ties to Southwark > Council. Jimlad From what I'm reading, you are in favour of a CPZ and campaigned for one in your area as a cost neutral resident (no car so no cost to you) East Dulwich is a place you visit but don't reside in, but you seem to want to muddy the waters with your own brand of project fear! A CPZ may work where you live, but residents and businesses here should be allowed to make an informed decision based on locally researched fact and not fiction (council variety) especially in areas where parking is not a problem. I did laugh at your description of "commuter stalking", were the people involved going to work by car themselves, in which case fair game, or taking their kids to school, in which case should they be looking at public transport or walking as an option to assist with removing the "child safety" issues you also mentioned. Happy to hear your opinion on the subject, but you do seem to be too vocal to not have a vested interest imho
