  1. Clearly you are unhappy with FHRGP. Would it not be easier for you to transfer to a surgery who offer these facilities (though I would disagree that some you list aren?t available) rather than wait for the surgery to meet your expectations?
  2. If you cancel the DD with your bank then Southwark won't be able to draw down the money so you won't be paying twice. If you have an online account on the Southwark website then, if you pay monthly, you'll be able to see a schedule of due payments, plus as the year progresses what payments you've made. There is also an option to 'make a payment' which is the option you need to pay by CC. You won't need Southwarks bank details but you will need your Southwark Council Tax account number. It's all a lot easier than it sounds! BTW on my schedule of payments it shows the due date as the 15th of the month not the 1st.
  3. Clash of cultures: it would be unlikely that anyone brought up in the free spirited creative environment of California would be able to fit in with a stuffy, protocol driven British family.
  4. It?s closely related to ?alternative facts?
  5. Good Lord no, he?d have to deal with people like himself
  6. There are political lies and there are political lies. Clearly Trumps? lies have produced an evangelical following but the most even the most ardent of Johnson?s followers do is to give him a half hearted benefit of the doubt.

Oprah, on the other hand, has been playing a long game. My contender for who asked the ?what colour? question is one of the two airhead grand daughter princesses.
  8. @malumbu Been a long time
  9. The subscription year runs from April to end of March. That webpage continues ?Subscriptions for 2021/2022 will open in February, and we'll notify households eligible for this service by delivering a leaflet. For existing subscribers we'll send an email reminder, if you've provided us with an email address.? They?re probably running a little behind, all things considered. Suggest you just sit tight for the time being.
  10. Now I?m going to moan about her using the word incorrectly
  11. Not a profession of course although sometimes I wonder but there?s an awful lot of moaning on EDF
  12. As with the failed series of cultural events last summer, I suspect that it is commercial interests that are driving this proposed festival.
  13. ?At the height of summer, when many people may be unable to go away on holiday ...? That?s as much an argument for it going ahead!
  14. At the moment ... are you intending then to remain housebound after lockdown restrictions end?

You think about others so much you are prepared to pass on the virus to them by remaining unvaccinated.

Preliminary results indicate the Pfizer vaccine does prevent transmission. https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/covid-2021-02-08/card/2R7C6lJLsohwxUPg7uLp

Also the businesses that go into people's homes to feed pets while their owners are away as nobody is going away.
  18. It isn?t just about you though. You may catch COVID with mild symptoms or even none at all. But you would still be infectious and perhaps pass it on to others who are more vulnerable. Out of interest do you wear a mask?

  22. So looking forward to the spam link
  23. I hope they improve the lighting, it?s so dark and gloomy in there it?s no wonder the staff are grumpy and many customers have negative feelings towards the shop. Not helped by the dark slate flooring.
  24. Foxy - have you seen this online calculator for when you might receive your first vaccination? I inputted your age of 68 and the result came out that you should have received your first jab by 8 March. Things are speeding up. I inputted my data into it a couple of weeks ago and the result was I should receive the first jab by middle of March - I received it yesterday. https://www.omnicalculator.com/health/vaccine-queue-uk
  25. I can only see maps showing the western end of Southwark Street
