If you cancel the DD with your bank then Southwark won't be able to draw down the money so you won't be paying twice. If you have an online account on the Southwark website then, if you pay monthly, you'll be able to see a schedule of due payments, plus as the year progresses what payments you've made. There is also an option to 'make a payment' which is the option you need to pay by CC. You won't need Southwarks bank details but you will need your Southwark Council Tax account number. It's all a lot easier than it sounds! BTW on my schedule of payments it shows the due date as the 15th of the month not the 1st.

It isn?t just about you though. You may catch COVID with mild symptoms or even none at all. But you would still be infectious and perhaps pass it on to others who are more vulnerable. Out of interest do you wear a mask?
