  1. Er James i too am slightly shocked by your offhand comments about the dropping of nuclear weapons on japan. the point is they were totally and utterly indiscriminate against non-combatents, it was murder on an horrific scale. I hope when Nick Clegg talks about a new kind of politics he is not thinking like this. This can all relate back to community politics; I was told that the livesey museum was closed so funding could continue on projects in East Dulwich, if this is true it is certainly not in anyway a new kind of politics. I hope Nick Clegg is not just using a soundbite without substance when he makes this statement.
  2. oh is not the labour councillor public service ? or does someone feel threatened ? but i suppose as with 2 bobbins on single spindle.
  3. i don't know , i sat opposite a young lady in the cafe costa having a nice cup of tea , when she decided it was time to feed her baby, she struggled to get it going as i stirred my tea glancing from natural milk bottle , to the bargain across the way for ?595 ! all strangely inappropriate but charming none the less.
  4. i think the Guy has been in Dulwich for years and years, its good as well for the locals, you can get some really good deals from him.
  5. .....moderator level are divergent ? sorry to be a bit......thick ??? not sure what that means. Anyway i noticed that the labour councillor offering help with the local ward got moved into another area, and the other local councillor Mr Barber I think conservative or Green is in the main area. Just wondered after watching the TV debate last night about independence , i read they had 900 rules on that program last night !
  6. I just wondered if this wonderful local forum was independent of any political affiliations. I think the BBC has a policy that it must stay impartial or not comment either way so i wondered if this local site was the same. I noticed that only one candidate remains in this section and some other parties representatives are moved into different areas within the site. I just was musing as everything seems to be about politics and fairness right now. I suppose though it's a private site and whoever set it up can support whoever they like ? is there any truth to the rumours that it is run by a local party though ? hopefully not, it's independence is important I think.
  7. What a fantastic building and addition to the surrounding areas, the children of East Dulwich will have a great school to go to and will not now feel like the poor cousins of the 'Dulwich proper' brigade. I think this building is a testament to the brilliance of the Liberal Party of East Dulwich, who gave whole hearted backing to this wonderful project going out into the community to gauge the opinions of their constituents. Well done and keep up the great work, roll on the Election that's what i say and let the orange phoenix fly !
