  1. Just following up from my original post asking for ideas for slime party, We found Slime Planet who were absolutely fantastic, the party was yesterday and Chris from Slime Planet came in and ran a great slime workshop. He managed to keep 10 5/6 year olds entertained for an hour, making lots of slime plenty of which they could take home. They made a giant slime at the end which created much excitement. And the best thing Chris takes away all the messy bits at the end so clearing up is pretty pain free. Would highly recommend them for parties and they also run various Events too. https://www.slimeplanet.co.uk
  2. I?m looking for someone to do a slime (maybe science type) party for a boy who is into anything slime and messy. Has anyone done this and recommend them, would want someone who can keep 10 kids entertained as well.
  3. For my daughter?s 8th birthday party we did a trapeze workshop in Sydenham at my areial home which was a big hit. https://www.myaerialhome.co.uk/parties-events Helped that her and all her friends were the biggest fans of the Greatest Showman

But the rules are your child doesn't officially have to be in school until the term after they turn five, so no legal repercussions of taking a term time holiday in reception before then.

  8. Hi Theatre Peckham run a drama class on friday's after school and musical theatre on a Saturday. Been wanting my daughter to try out the drama class but at them moment we can't fit it in, she did stagecoach for three years as well but it's so costly when they go up to age 7 and felt the three hours would be too long. http://courses.theatrepeckham.co.uk
  9. Why didn't people just let her move to the front of the queue if she was struggling, bit rude of people not to.

  18. There is the ed tots website which lists local activities and the hoop app is quite good. http://www.edtots.co.uk A lot of the children's centres cut activities due to funding. However check out Ivydale who still run a fair few things including stay and play at Peckham rye park which is walkable from that end or 363 bus. https://primarysite-prod-sorted.s3.amazonaws.com/ivydalesouthwark/UploadedDocument/e2337c1c6a9940ef81d2aeca17fe91ad/locality-drop-in-sessions-and-map-april-2017.pdf Also the aardvark group of children's centres but don't know how easy to get to. http://www.dulwichwood.com/aardvarkcc/ Tumble (small soft play set-up with bouncy castle) at the albrighton centre which is off dog kennel hill also good (?2 for the class) runs Tuesday mornings and Thursday afternoons the Tuesday morning can get busy - http://www.albrightoncommunitycentre.org/whats-on/ Slightly further afield but easy reach on the bus is tiny gym at camberwell leisure centre a bit more expensive at ?5 but would highly recommend http://southwarkgymnastics.co.uk/classes/tiny-gym/

  22. Went during the school holidays - chaos but went again last week after the schools had gone back and a bit better. They are now monitoring numbers going in -we couldn't get in the 9.30 session as already full up when we arrived - able to buy tickets for the next session and it was a little bit warmer. The session was being monitored by the man that normally looks after the soft play sessions and from what I gather from a brief conversation with him, they will be putting a barrier across so children can't escape, some table and chairs and an area to put shoes. I do think the soft play is a better for older pre schoolers but the baby/toddler area is a bit small so maybe not the best place for under 2s.
  23. NatWest card found by the village grocery store - handed into the guys there for collection.
  24. Small paw patrol toy lost near dog kennel hill school.
