  1. I was the same as straferjack with my daughter from about 9 months-13 months I was having to walk her everywhere, no interest in crawling. Was so glad once she did manage to walk herself as my poor back was killing me by then!
  2. I used to take my daughter when she was just learning to walk and thought it was pretty good for that age. Now I thinking of taking my son up there who is at the same stage and wondered if anyone had been recently, would you recommend it? The last few times I took my daughter it seemed like they couldn't be bothered and put very little equipment out, which was over a year ago.
  3. The verdict on the cake I baked was yummy couldn't tell was a vegan cake. Is pretty much the same recipie as the southern food one - so is dark and chocolatly and very light too. Was quite a small cake don't know how many people you need it for but you could easily make two 20cm round tins and use a suitable fudge style icing in the middle to make a larger sandwich cake and then ice that.
  4. I've made this for my son's birthday as he has egg and dairy allergy, eating it tomorrow so will let you know how it tastes. Was very easy to make and my friend iced it for me. http://allrecipes.co.uk/recipe/4666/vegan-chocolate-cake.aspx
  5. The uniform for nursery isn't compulsory so that would be fine.
  6. Try the albrighton centre - think you can use the soft play mats they have and hire a bouncy castle too. Have to do own catering - have kitchen facilities.
  7. Yes it's worth it took my 3 year old daughter and she loved it. We Used the 2for1 deal so it wasn't so pricey http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/london-aquarium
  8. Yes it is shut at the moment, is open for a week in August but can't remember the dates then opens again in September when the schools go back.

  10. Little bubbles music and movement classes are running a week of drop-in classes on Barry road http://www.littlebubbles.com/news.html
  11. I've a Lot of stuff, mainly baby clothes and maternity clothes I want to give to charity but always find it really hard to drop off to the high street charity shops and don't want to leave out of shop hours. Does anyone know of anywhere or a local community charity where I can take them.
  12. Just seen this offer of 50% off tickets to the lollibop festival for anyone interested http://www.littlebird.co.uk/LollibopFestivalAugust2013
  13. Will that be a whole primary or just juniors like hamlet?
  14. A friend of mine was there a couple of weeks ago and was on then :)
  15. Down to personal taste, up until I discovered my boy was allergic to nuts I substituted cows milk for unsweetened almond milk and happily had it in my tea and on cereal. I now have unsweetened soya milk which too is fine. My son not yet drinking a milk substitute as only 10 months but he has koko coconut milk on his cereal or in his porridge and happily eats that.
  16. Am there now - not really working very well - sensors only coming on now and then. Very disappointing was at myatt fields yesterday, fully working and the playground so much more fun.
  17. Also Is easy to pick up oat, soya, coconut milk in all larger supermarkets across the country :)
  18. My boy is allergic to dairy and told by our dietician not to use rice milk as an alternative as it contains too high levels of Arsenic for under 5s. http://www.food.gov.uk/science/research/surveillance/fsisbranch2009/survey0209#.UekKEqa9LCQ. Once he is a year old he has been advised can drink soya, oat or koko coconut milk as his alternative. Also almond milk could be a good alternative but my son also has a nut allergy so out of the question for us.
  19. We are tending to stay in until gone 3ish then maybe a trip to the park. I'm not coping with this heat at all, I used to love sun bathing but having to take care of a toddler and baby in it is not much fun :(. Went to Peckham soft play yesterday - great air con and really quiet :)
