Soft play baby gym in Forest Hill area?
gebbjane replied to MrsNina's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I would second toddler world at crystal palace leisure centre for that age. Runs on a Monday-Thursday 10-12. Also had friends that did tumble tots which runs from one of the church halls in Dulwich village. I also went to a nice group on a Monday afternoon at the Albrighton. Centre on dog kennel hill opp Sainsburys - they had soft play mats out and a ball pit and is for babies under 18 months. -

sorry didn't make it today, was diagnosed with high blood pressure last week and had to go back to see the consultant today. I'm due on Friday and they are hoping I go into labour before then they don't really want me going past the 40 week mark - so must start trying all the old wives tales and get this baby out sometime this week. I'm not hopeful was 9 days over with my daughter. Jane xx -

1 oclock club - is the closing party today?
gebbjane replied to little h's topic in The Family Room Discussion
If it is closing party, it is a closing party for the one o'clock club as it is now. Think it is being re-built and and the ivydale children's centre will be taking over the running of it. Old post somewhere on here. -

Same here didn't realise was a closing party - just come from there, thought it was just a 50 year celebration. They have bouncy castle, music and food is on until 3. -

Nursery recommendations and baby groups- recent
gebbjane replied to uzma's topic in The Family Room Discussion
There are a number of mum and baby groups but not sure which ones run through the school holidays if any. When my daughter was that age I attended the lovely nct mums and babes group held on a Friday morning at St faiths church near north dulwich station (dont need to be a nct member), I know that doesn't run in the holidays. I believe there is also a Nct mums and babes on a Monday morning at goose green church hall but I never went to that one. I also liked going to the group on a Monday afternoon at the Albrighton centre (on the estate opposite sainsburys on dog kennel hill) for babies under 18 months, we didn't start going until my daughter was 5months but you will be fine going with a younger baby, again not running in the holidays. Also check out this website http://www.edtots.co.uk/ lists things going on in east dulwich. -
We got our daughter a mini micro scooter for her 2nd birthday in June - she loves it, has a little difficulty in steering (veers off to the right) but is beginning to get there. They say from age 3 but see so many younger children with them and our daughter is small for her age but she is fine on it. We got ours in jo jo maman babe on lordship lane, same price as John Lewis and Cheaper than buying direct from micro scooter who charge delivery.

Baby and parent cinema on weekends?
gebbjane replied to antantant's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Cineworld allow babes in arms at daytime showings http://www.cineworld.co.uk/ticketinformation to films that are 12a or below, so you can go to batman. So either canary wharf or o2 Greenwich.
