  1. Yes Ganapati does deliver BUT I was able to prebook and set a later delivery time, much more satisfactory - particularly as a previous experience with Gana wasn't so successful!
  2. Used them on Thursday evening for Ganapati delivery fabulous and you can book a delivery time in advance. Will definitely use them again when we want a take a way!
  3. They have always responded straight-a-way to my email enquiries! Had supper there last night with two friends, one veggie, the food was excellent as was the service and it was busy, with people coming in quite late for food! Think Sandi Togsvig looked happy there too!! PandG
  4. Miss Wiggy you have explained things so well to this illustrious group of .......EDF folk - thank you. I also agree with Zebedee - what a wonderful addition to Lordship Lane - yesterday the sun came out in East Dulwich albeit with the cold wind - from the moaners!! pandg PS can the post be amended to ED Picture House now open?
  5. Wow had a new bespoke dining table made by the guys at sixninethree and have now got them making us a bespoke kitchen island they are v clever and listen to their clients requests! See www.sixninethree.co.uk also they will be using a piece of marble from a fabulous local supplier Diespeker.co.uk. We just love our local trades and professionals - you don't have to go far from ED to get some fabulous people! PandG
  6. Just found Diespeker in SE15, established in 1881, who supply marble and other stone and make terrazzo to order, they also make up work surfaces etc - very impressed! They are cutting us some marble for a piece of bespoke kitchen furniture! See www.diespeker.co.uk (see bespoke furniture sixninethree post!) PandG
  7. I used Elliott Webb, very successfully, who is based in Herne Hill and works for Coloma Wealth - 07968 245216.
  8. Went to test it out last night - wow very encouraging start - was really quite busy for a wet Tuesday evening, like the new decor but as The Lordship has posted they are still new and finishing things off! We had a brilliant meal - Lamb with cassoulet, veggie pie with mash and a delicious sauce and WE SHARED a dessert - brilliant chef, may need more help in the kitchen soon though! Restaurant menu was good and they also do bar food too. Interesting that a local actor celeb was dining too!! Give it a try soon.
  9. Good luck to the Lordship & his staff and to the Nobility of ED let's all give three cheers for the opening and 'onwards'!
  10. Hooray - established pubs under their belt - this will be good for ED, particularly the upper end of LL with the new cinema just a short walk away- - fingers crossed and give them time to settle folks please!
  11. Just had home made soup, their veggie sandwich at lunchtime - delicious and WORTH EVERY PENNY - ED needs these entrepreneurs it's what makes this a wonderful area to live in - support it or stay quiet!
  12. Hooray - fingers crossed that the EDF anti brigade give them time to settle!!
  13. I will stay on your case DF- I live here! Support all local business new and old- don't you and your EDF cronies kill such a vibrant area!
  14. Go on slag it off before anything happens Dulwich Fox - it was you and your EDF cronies who were so negative before! I liked the Mag and I enjoyed the Patch and was willing to give it a go - ok things slipped - so let's be positive for the future - the cinema opening on LL next month could well bring the 'footfall' further up the road and anything that boosts ED and keeps it a thriving area with independent entrepreneurs - go for it and supprt it! PANDG
  15. Lights on builders & scaffold inside the old Patch/Mag on LL what's happening?
  16. I am interested -send private message so we can get a French congestion group restarted!
  17. I emailed someone earlier who I think was running the BJade french conversation but didn't get a reply so guess that is finished! Would be keen to join a french conversation group though P
  18. I think people should read back through the posts on the forum to see the horrific negativity from the EDF tribe- who don't want to see independent business's thrive - why is that?
  19. I agree - don't use Croxted motors - stupidly, on a bad day, I put petrol in a diesel car and luckily realised before I started the engine etc - the car was pushed away from the pumps and the mechanic then syphoned the fuel tanks! It didn't work as they didn't realise the vehicle had a double tank and a second fuel pump from one tank to the other (Landrover Freelander)! They said it was sorted and clean - I had to pay their charges + two full tanks of fuel and then drove off. The car conked out so I got my emergency people to take the car back to the garage - they redid the whole procedure and said it was clean and sorted - I drove off and for a second time it broke down - I had it taken to Autorepairs in Rosendale Rd who sorted the problem out properly but it cost me new fuel pumps! I have found Autorepairs to be very fair, reasonable and they advise you of the problems etc! Don't use Croxted Rd motors!
  20. These are the rubbish waste of time and money repairs in Jennings Road!
