  1. Why rush ! It's a free advertising space in your garden.
  2. I agree Morocco is good for a short break. Might be cool in Feb though ! We went at Easter before last for a week (same reason). Three days in the High Atlas mountains and four in Marrakech think I'd TRS them for another trip. Can recommend good hotels if you decide to go. Need to go a little further south for sun. Canaries is better but have to research the best island as it can be windy too. Gambia sun is guaranteed but maybe a bit far (6 hrs).
  3. I'd like to share something that happened to me this evening.? A brief moment but one that I'll never forget. In conversation with my 15 year old son over dinner he said .. "...yes dad, I think you're right"? Incredible.
  4. I think you meant to say "I'm going to use reasonable force on him / her"
  5. Does anyone have a list or know a site that lists 6th Form school/colleges accessible from ED. Cheers
  6. Let me know your address I'll bring you a few buckets full you can recreate a crowd scene from Ben Hur.
  7. A good revenue stream would be for the council to charge those who drive over the pavement to park in front gardens for damaged caused by the vehicle. My street is suffering from sunken/broken slabs and kerb stones from vehicles driving over un-lowered sections to enable parking off road. PS I'm happy to chip in the ?18 if that helps balance the book. 8. They should join the police, get to hang around on street corners, free paramilitary gear, nobody will argue if you queue-jump at Sainsburys and lots of money.
  9. I've queued behind armed police at the tills before at Sainsburys. I guess men with guns need pies and Mars bars too.
  10. Hopefully the planners will continue up Lordship Lane to the Spot that is desperate for a crossing, on the South Circular outside the Harvester. Drivers tear down the hill after the bus lane ends to beat (jump) the lights. This juntion really is a death trap.
  11. Definitely sounds like a a Jack Rustle ...
  12. yeeehaaa! that's one for the good guys.
  13. I bet a few brave people filmed it on their camera phones!!
  14. I fully understand your situation, I caught my wife hanging around East Dulwich Station on Monday at about 6.36pm, claimed she'd been there 15 mins! She was there again on Wednesday and would you believe it again tonight at the exact same time AND the same corner. It's been going on for years, it's the same every night, jumps in the car and pretends she's pleased to see me. These are dark and dangerous times, we need to be vigilant. I find it comforting that your timetable coincides with hers and you're able to keep an eye on her. Be alert!
  15. Excellent work, I have an adult bike which is in need of a bit of repair, are BCbikes still a drop off point for the project.
  16. try telling the guys who shifted skip loads of it whilst building my extension that it wasn't clay!
  17. Does any hot water flow from the shower head at all if turned to maximum temperature ? If so you may just need to install a pressure reducing valve (PRV) some where in the cold flow. Either at the last accessible point before the shower to reduce cold water pressure to the shower only or or at a point after the stop tap to reduce pressure to the whole system.
  18. pretty pointless complaining here, do something about it http://www.southwark.gov.uk/info/200048/health_services/1857/food_safety/3 [email protected]
  19. just checked my speed I'm with ORANGE - 3792 DOWNLOAD 484 UPLOAD almost snailmail !! Just been speaking to the various ISP's to change. Is it worth going with a 10gb limit or 40gb/unlimited at a substantial premium ? What do other folks download per month not really sure what 10gb worth of downloads is ?
  20. Yes you can. I went yesterday the postie was very helpful, said they had worked through the backlog and were almost back to normal. Unfortunately my Amazon must be stuck elsewhere. Don't forget your id and I think they close at 1pm.
  21. Reminds me of a story I heard a sweet little old lady tell. She was sitting in front of the fire as someone removed a panel of leaded light from a top casement window, as the hand came through to feel for the window handle she held the hot poker in position for the thief to grab. I can almost smell the burning skin, no more thieving for a few weeks. Not that I'm condoning such action .. of course.
