You are talking total C**p Have you ever been to Turkey.. ? Turkey is one of the few countries in the world which is close to being totally self sufficient. Yes there is poverty in some rural areas but Turkey is a deveoping country and I people do make a living there. Do you honestly beleive there would be 80 million Turks heading this way.. I also object to you calling this proud nation as Paupers.. DulwichFox

Wetherspoons has scrapped its traditional Sunday lunch roast dinner.
DulwichFox replied to DulwichFox's topic in The Lounge
I have only been to a Weatherspoons once and had a burger (2014) which was ok as pub burgers go.. Do not generally eat roasts.. Most pub roasts are pretty dire.. The Victoria was ok but then I won a Free one when they first opened... but they went down the pan very quickly.. Roasts are NEVER as good as home made.. considering they are pretty simply. I have loads of vouchers for 50p of a pint for Weatherspoons from CAMRA. Never get round to using them.. Only 1 per visit. Foxy -

VEOLIA is a French Company contracted by Southwark Council to collect our waste.. Technically, anything put in the bin belongs to Southwark Council. It is important that waste is put in the correct bin. Obviously, the waste collectors need to come into your garden to access your bins.. and inspectors can gain access to check its contents.. Southwark can refuse to take waste put in the wrong bin or even fine you for doing so. DulwichFox

Wetherspoons has scrapped its traditional Sunday lunch roast dinner. The pub chain announced the decision to drop the staple meal and concentrate instead on burgers and other traditional classics. The last roast dinners will be served in its branches on Mother?s Day on March 6. There are 950 Wetherspoons restaurants in the UK, and many customers were sad to hear roast dinners will disappear. Burgers = profit.. DulwichFox

It was not aimed at any particular restaurant.. .. but yes I do know a local E.D. place where one member of staff thinks the obligitory dish cloth tucked into his trousers is part of the uniform.. No names.. Not sure what he uses it for.. It's just there. ? Foxy..

In the average kitchen wooden chopping boards will often harbour 'Germs' Serving food to them is unhygenic. They get cuts in them where food can get trapped if boards are not cleaned properly at high temperature. In a busy restaurant they are at best likely to get a quick wipe over with a dish cloth that has been stuffed down the back of the waiters / chefs trousers. We get ?Pretentious? meals dished up on pieces of wood, chopping boards and slates, as well as drinks served in jam jars. ...and get charged a premium for the privilege.. Just give us a nice white Porcelain plate... ... Yes ! there will be people on here that will say they like their food dished up on pieces of wood, chopping boards and slates, as well as drinks served in jam jars. .. Well I dont like it.. It's NOT cool.. It's Naff. Foxy

The United States are far from being United in its laws... The one that stands out more than most is the laws governing the Death Penalty.. Laws in the UK are governed by approval from the Brussels / Srasbourg circus and not just the House of Lords.. DulwichFox.
