I do indeed use the Texaco garage - but have been doing so for 10 years and this has never happened before.

Looked at my bank statement yesterday and found that ?300 had been taken out of my account at an ATM in Morocco - whilst I was at home in East Dulwich. I called my bank and they have cancelled my card and sending me forms to complete. Anyone have any idea of how long it will take for Barclays to replace the money?

Its just a story

To date I have had my purse stolen twice - both without my knowledge. Once my bag was on the floor of the cinema and they must have opened my bag by lying on the floor behind me and took the purse without me noticing until the lights came up! I was attacked by a man nearly 3 years ago in East Dulwich but I ran away before he could steal anything. Left with a nasty bruised shoulder - couldn't pick him out of the pics at the police statin though.

I think your fine is ridiculous! Surely a polite "can you pick up your cigar butt" would have sufficed?! Who are these people? Do they belong to the council? Where does the money go? England is getting more and more big brotherish every day! I would appeal - did you have to pay cash or did you have to give your name and address? How do they know people are giving the correct details?
