I get your drift but whilst its harder than ever to get on the ladder at 26 years old, back in 2001 I couldn't either. Even with a second similar income. And at that time ED was much more affordable and not the area it is now. You can get bitter about it or if it really matters to you to be able to buy here, work out a way of earning more money than you are at present. At 26 your income will rise for sure....or start a business....there are ways and means if you really want it and are motivated to get there. Or move to an area thats like how ED was to me when I bought here ten years ago? Penge is your friend and offers similar value. Edit: 2001 I couldnt...2002 prices ran away from me....2004 I could finally.....but only after moving jobs

But it's true though no? England's last WC campaign is best forgotten. And even Saturday v Slovenia...that first half was not anything like how they played last night. In relative terms England are playing far worse than their average standard historically. Scotland also (although much improved since dire Bertie Voghts era).

This. I was disappointed....last night was by far the worst Scotland have played in about 11 games.
  5. Awful news Reggie. I'm so very sorry to hear it. Sounds like you crammed a lot in in that time. As you know I've always been a fan...that Foreigner video you did....my thoughts with you and all.

You wont find a better support anywhere in the world - especially when we're away. I'm really looking forward to the game tomorrow. Whilst 2013's Wembley friendly in August went by unnoticed tomorrows will not given it's timing mid campaign, just after ROI and post referendum. The Celtic Park location will also give it an edge. Far more intimate than Hampden without the athletics track and steep seating. It will be LOUD. Feck. Seriously tempted to call my cousins and jump on an Easyjet.
  8. As above but with a mature cheddar just melted and no more. And with an oxo cube sprinkled all over. Then let it melt a few secs more under the grill.
  9. "Useless oven settings"??.an exciting new thread coming your way soon people.
  10. I've just noticed that my NEFF oven also has its own "rotisserie" setting which I predict will be equally ineffective.
  11. Well??this chit chat?..you've all got me fired up to knock out some home made pizza tomorrow night. With anchovies, capers and olives. All from a NEFF oven on "pizza" setting operating at 245 degrees to start with :-)
  12. And where can I get one and how much?
  13. This thread is getting more surreal by the day. Where will it go next...when will it end? Seabag - is a Big Green Egg for all of the amateur and professional enthusiasts who need heat without having to build a kiln in their back garden?
  14. Interesting Falklands and I'm liking their equitable business approach. I did some rough sums on a completely ill informed, unsubstantiated basis and figured about 77,000 pizzas will get them to cost neutral for this branch. Which is actually very doable given the popularity at other branches and equates to 1 to 2 years trading max. High volume, low price point. Does anyone know how easy it is to do your own sour dough pizza at home and if so how close can you get to the real thing?

Tuesday night at Celtic park will be interesting - you will not hear crowd noise like it anywhere else apart from perhaps a Rangers v Celtic game.

Lovely goal from Shaun Moloney. And wee Anya and Mulgrew also had good games. Nice to see a fair few celts from both sides on The Castle last night.

I've long since stopped caring about the moneyed, bloated premiership. But I don't blame you if you're English and have to deal with all the bs thats come since winning the WC way back sometime in the last century.
  18. I'll stop being a dick. Question: how many 5.85 pizzas need to be sold to pay for such an impressive structural refurb?
  19. Funnily enough I was expecting exactly that....
  20. And Balham. And Northcote Road.
  21. Is it true that it tastes quite like the one in Brixton. And Chiswick.
  22. Vain, incompetent and corrupt to the core. How did we all let the global power for the greatest game in the world become such a total joke? FIFA should be destroyed and rebuilt from ground up in line with appropriate standards. Qatar should be cancelled and a re-vote initiated. Until this happens, British clubs should boycott the next WC campaign. Would the FA have the political balls to do that? If the next WC had some high profile drop outs FIFA would have no choice but to concede. /over
  23. I remember doners tasting great so had one for old times sake a while back. Then I remembered it was always after 6 pints.
  24. The high line in NYC is great and full of bearded strollers and barefoot joggers.
  25. The message is clear. We should all eat more curry. But seriously... well done on your blood sugar Fox. However you've managed it.
