I haven't had the food and tbh, I'm unlikely to go to the dog to eat - but for a quick drink on the way from / to the park I think it's great. Decent selection of beers - I have found the bar staff friendly and efficient.

The problem was a flawed design and bad management. It would have been incredibly easy to have built a bigger exit / entrance and to have had an additional exit / entrance point on Windsor Walk. Both these things were called for at the time. The project saw major over runs and a 2m + overspend. Now we're told there's no more money to fix it. With proper management, and thoughtful design, we wouldn't be seeing these issues. -

Doesn't that just encourage car use for short journeys?

It's 'nicer', but I don't find transfers any quicker. Overall, no doubt an improvement, but frankly, I am more concerned with having a reliable, regular train service from ED.

Going out to the pub and sitting at home drinking Beck's Blue aren't really comparable experiences though. -

I was playing poker with a friend the other night. He was drinking and smoking heavily (and gambling too, obviously) and announced with no sense of irony, that he was giving up bread in January as it was not good for your health. -
This is probably a dumb question, but does the provider make much difference to the speed you get in your house? Isn't the local infrastructure that delivers the service to your house all the same?

We need, specifically, more social housing. Ideally, council housing. Building more luxury flats, aimed at the overseas market will make minimal impact on your average person's ability to get a foot on the ladder. In fact it can just make things worse, by fueling a speculative bubble.

that's really sad about Bonnie's. -
Blue passports. Not sure what else to say. The country seems to be having some kind of psychotic episode.

Hope you're OK JohnL. I saw your other post - may want to take a bit of time before rushing to do something you might regret in terms of retribution though. Sorry this happened to you.

Blimey. Don't do anything silly JohnL

How's parking a major issue around the Dog Kennel Hill Estate exactly? There's plenty of parking across the estate and the surrounding roads.

Brexit costing us ?350m a week in lost output:

... by the time we get to the end of the transition period, things could have swung significantly in favour of remain.

I think it's partly the result of people turning 18. As more and more young people join the voting age population, the split moves in favour of remain.

The other thing which can effect the pay gap is outsourcing something like maintenance or catering (which may have an over representation of either men and women on low pay). This is the problem with reporting the gender pay gap without any analysis. You may have lot's of low pay cleaning staff, who are predominantly women. Outsource the service and suddenly it looks as though you've drastically cut the pay gap. In reality no one is better off.
