From Shell's mother's point of view imagine not being able to park close to your destination and there being an empty bay which you're entitled to use, but which someone mistakenly thinks is their's. So you have to park further away and struggle. I think the person who left the note is entirely wrong personally. The space is not theirs and there is nothing to suggest that their need is necessarily greater than Shell's mother.
  2. That's it then. It's only a matter of time before the whole of Soutwark has it's roads privatised. Maybe a good time to become a traffic warden?
  3. Thanks for the advice, really appreciate it.
  4. Glad to hear I'm 'notorious'. 😂

It's not particularly reliable / regular either. You can easily end up waiting half an hour.

  7. Hello. We have booked an Air BnB in Breville, Cognac. We're travelling with two children, age 5 and 6 and are struggling to decide on how best to get there. Options are to either drive and have a stop off on the way, maybe a day or two somewhere, or else to fly into Bordeaux and get a car hire. If anyone has any experience of this part of France, we'd really appreciate your thoughts, either on how best to get there, or for nice places to stop off, or visit near by. Thanks

  11. Meanwhile Dr Gupta has been taking home around 2 million a year http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2063458/Family-doctors-firm-raking-1-8m-YEAR--patients-say-surgery-appalling.html and enjoying junkets with the prime minister http://www.businessgreen.com/digital_assets/6344/February_2013_trade_mission_delegates_booklet.pdf .
  12. @James - could we not at least push for a regular bus service connecting ED to Brixton tube and / or some secure bike parking at Brixton? What's the best way to try and influence any such changes?

James Barber Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Hi first mate, > After some serious reorganising of family diary > I'll be at the planning committee speaking as a > ward councillor against this planning application. without wanting to sound like a sycophant and regardless of whether or not I always agree with James Barber, it is worth pointing out that he works extremely hard representing the area. I think it's worth pointing out occasionally as he tends to get a lot of stick on this forum.
  21. It never ceases to amaze me how many people lazily cut corners in their cars. I actually think power steering has made people worse.
