  1. That's a rather outlandish position.
  2. clearly not Speedo Pizza.
  3. Sheesh, that's really sad. Apparently there is a spike in attempted suicides at this time of year. Hope he's OK and there are people around to offer support.
  4. Sounds like a grievance waiting to happen
  5. Roll on Police Academy 8
  6. The Charlie Hebdo cartoons weren't particularly clever or funny. The problem with freedom of speech however is that you sometimes have to defend the crap as vehemently as the worthwhile stuff.
  7. I agree that you can't draw a direct causal link between Cumbria and global warming (or any single weather event). It is likely that we will see more extreme weather events as the planet warms however.
  8. According to a you.gov poll, a quarter of Britons agree with Trump that all Muslim immigrants should be banned from entering the country. Its scary stuff.
  9. I talked to my neighbour, asked them to move their car the night before. Moved mine too. Then put a couple of wheelie bins with a note sellotaped to them saying 'skip coming in the morning - apologies for any inconvenience'. I was a bit stressed by it as we live opposite a school and there is pressure on parking during the days. was expecting someone to just move the bins and park in the space, but it didn't happen. People i think appreciate that sometimes there is a genuine need to keep a space free for stuff like this.
  10. He's on an all time high in the national polls apparently: http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/dec/15/donald-trump-rally-scuffles-threats-support-candidate-riding-high * *Trump, not Grok.
  11. Why did they bother consulting on this? The money was always going to be used to hike up values on new 'luxury' flats - our infrastructure budget is simply used as a subsidy for property developers under Boris, why pretend otherwise. There was never really any question of it not being the OKR route, even had the Camberwell option received 100% public support. Why patronise us with a phoney consultation.
  12. Yeah, that bit outside the College of communication is crazy. Bizarre design
  13. @James Barber - There are developments going up all around Cmaberwell Green and along the Thameslink track running between Loughborough Junction and elephant. Why have Southwark not used section 106 planning gain to fund the resurrection of the camberwell station on that route?

  15. Queues from Oval Tube to Vauxhall all times of day and night it seems, also due to new road layout. SE London is being cut off from the Capital. No tube, trains into London Bridge and Thameslink terrible overcrowded and unreliable and now bus and car journeys just a few miles to the north taking a minimum of 40 minutes to an hour. It's totally unacceptable, but there doesn't seem to be anything we can do about it. And now the Bakerloo line extension is going to see huge amounts of money from the transport infrastructure budget plowed into subsidising new private developments /investment properties along the Old Kent Road. talk about giving SE London taxpayers the finger.
  16. Jeez. people will nick anything

Exactly the point of Section 106 money. I don't understand why the council haven't leveraged these new developments which are going up all along the Thameslink link running through Camberwell, to reopen the station?
  18. I was born in 77, can't believe I'm older than Otta!
  19. gang activity
  20. I like them, but mainly because I grew up with them and played with the toys etc. it's Primarilly a nostalgia thing. The prequels were rubbish.
  21. I try not to think about the calories too much tbh. There are burgers that need eating, what can I do?
  22. I do like a tasty burger. And my mum told me that it's always best to be honest. So this sounds OK to me.
  23. I'm class of '93
  24. No one is trying to ban Christmas. I don't believe that the state should be in the business of segregating children, or excluding certain kids from publicly funded schools, based on their parent's (real or faked) religious beliefs. That's it. Easter eggs need not be effected.
