Hi there I know it's not strictly East Dulwich but I think the Buddha Jazz restaurant on Grove Lane is great. However in recent months its been closed when you'd expect it to be open. It's open most weekday nights but seems to only be open on Saturday evenings and not Saturday day time or any of Sunday whatsoever - which is a shame because on three separate occasions I wanted to take some guests with us to the restaurant but its been closed. Also it's stopped taking card payments, which is an inconvenience because there are no cash machines nearby. The one at corrners shop charges ?1.60! I know all these things I could prepare for - go when it's open and get money out prior- but I feel that they're not making it easy for customers, which is a shame because I think it's a super place. Anyone else have the same experience?

Hi everyone I'm interested in playing some 5/6 a side football either indoors or on astroturf surface in the area. Can anyone recommend where I could go? Ideally I would like to be part of an informal group where we stay fit. I probably can't commit to playing in a league every week. Thanks M

Thanks for the replies guys. Maybe it's just the grim reality of it all! We have showered each morning and the occasional bath. Just use gas for all the usual stuff such as cooking. I was worried it was a gas leak or the upstairs neighbours were siphoning it off! Greengod: I'm paying about ?18pm for electricity with southern electric direct debit. Might buy some more jumpers for the winter...

Hi there, I'm keen to play some football and enquired with Lambeth parks how much it would cost to play in the all-weather courts. It costs ?30 for an hour which seems a bit steep but works out as ?3 per person, if I could get 10 people together. Is anyone interested in having a kick about once a week?

I live near Dog Kennel hill and was wondering if anyone knows if there are any 5 or 6 a side football meet ups at Ruskin Park? I just want an informal kick about once a week - does anyone know if there is something organised or semi organised already going on? Isn't part of the problem that the car park is managed by Euro Carparks? how much involvement does Sainsburys actually have? Who owns the car park and whose responsibility is it to ensure there is appropriate CCTV?
