I play 5 a side on a Wednesday night with a guy who is a gooner, and he is a total prat!!! Strangeley the rest of the lads support Spurs, Liverpool, Man Ure, Chavski, and I don't have a problem with them so there you go.

I'm sure that you, as we all do, know of supporters that are a disgrace to the club they allegedly support and themselves. One of the nicest guys I work with is a Spurs supporter, and we get along really well. So the colour of the football kit is not a problem for me. The persons character of course is something completely different.

Anna, I wasn't having a go at scousers, it's just that there are certain forumites on here that have a bad effect on me and I'm sure you can guess who they are. You're not one of them by the way.
-
I'm sure most scousers are full of nothing but admiration for Fergusmoan, yet seem to have a problem when somebody other than them says anything about him. We do live in a funny old world. I'm sure he'll have some choice words of wisdom ahead of the game with yourselves at the weekend.

Got a ticket for the ECL game against Pool. Can't wait for this game, and the games against Rapid Fulham, and Man ure in coming weeks. It will show who is really up for the title. And whoever comes out on top will deserve it. It's Man Ures to lose at this point.
-
I notice it took the fake ronaldo 5 goes to get a goal on saturday, because he is such a lethal finisher. But be fair, Man Ure were playing the might Derby!!!! I also notice Fergusmoan has still not had the grace to apologise for his apoplectic outburst following the Pompey game. No surprise there then. Edited because of rubbish spelling

An anti-smoking group in Liverpool is calling for all movies with smoking scenes to be given an 18 certificate. SmokeFree Liverpool told BBC's Radio 5 Live it wanted to see the change but the film classification board said the idea was "heavy-handed". The push - backed by the city council - comes amid research showing young people pick up the bad habit from watching films containing smoking. While I applaud any effort to steer the youth of today away from bad habits, and towards a healthy life style, a better moral code, blah, blah, blah, I wonder if they are also thinking of placing greater censorship on films depicting graphic violence, casual sex, etc as these may lead weak willed souls to copy what they see on screen. Yet another instance of over reaction methinks. I just hope they place censorship on any film or TV clips of people crossing the road anywhere other than a designated crossing, as this may lead people to take their lives into their own hands when crossing the road as result of copying what they see on screen. For F**ks sake, I'd love a job like theirs, sitting on by backside dreaming up daft schemes and being paid for it. Nice work if you can get it!!!

Went to ashburton grove yesterday, a poor game, coupled with a poor ref, and Boro only interested in defending for dear life. The laws of the game especially the offside rule are alien to Mr. Halsey and the linesmen who had a mare. Anyway, we are supposed to be the bad boys on the prem based on the number of red cards we received during Le Boss' reign. I don't recall any of our players breaking another players leg (Eduardo and Diaby on the wrong end on challenges that did very serious damage), amd that fat excuse for a player ex-spurs prick Mido, splitting Clichys head open. But we are a dirty team for fecks sake. Boro are a poor side managed by a poor manager with limited expectations and christ how it showed yesterday. Theo was a shining light yesterday and at one point was cynically hauled down by a so called "good honest professional" who knew the kid was gonna fly past him but only got a yellow card for wasting time. Sagna, Flamini, Toure, and Walcott all had good games the rest were off the pace. I acn't see us winning the title now, but we'll see. aS for Chavski thinking they've got a chance, dream on fat Frankie, dream on.

Interesting how many blue Chavski shirts suddenly flooded the streets after they bought the title two years on the trot.

Reasonable as in the reasonable treatment dealt out to the victim you mean. Yes we should give the criminal the same "reasonable" treatment he gave the dead man.

Sorry to hear about your horrendous experience, but it does go to show that I don't spout shite all the time. My concern is for people like you that seem to get little of feck all from the system following such attacks and all the focus seems to be on the criminals and what they should get to make them "better members of society". It makes me both sad and angry.

I notice a lot of forumites mention "trial by tabloid". If tabloids report facts as recorded in a court of law, as in the case I highlighted, what is the problem. Or do they not like the idea of tabloids reporting the facts. A fact is fact whether it is reported in a tabloid or a "quality" daily. Such thinking simply shows up the prejudices of those who believe all tabloids report is sensationalist nonsense, which may be true most of the time but not all of the time. This case was reported in all english newspapers so how could it possibly be trial by tabloid for fecks sake.

We've got Pool in the ECL twice and once in the league, after that we've got Man Ure in the league.
-
So we've got Pool 3 games on the trot, and then Man Ure. Interesting.
