  1. I'm not sure if a particiular story I read in one the papers yesterday was an early contender for April fools day most ludicrous story of the year competition, or true. Apparently a local authority is putting padding around lamp posts and street signs to protect people from bumping into them whilst texting on their phones. Call me old fashioned, but if a person wishes to make a complete arse of themselves by not paying attention while they are out walking, isn't that their problem for being so bloody stupid?? If they are that irresponsible let them crack their heads open, which may teach them a hard but unforgettable lesson. Harsh but fair.
  2. Ralph couldn't cross a ball, that's true, but an Arsenal legend nonetheless for scoring a pen against Spurs and for grabbing Phil Neville round the throat and threatening to punch his lights out at the battle of Old Stratford a few seasons back.
  3. Sean, while I agree that the papers are glowing in their reports on our game, let's face it, they are reflecting what actually happened, which is a refreshing change for our press. Good to see the AC manager being gracious in defeat and giving us praise for a good performance.
  4. Keef don't be so horrid to us gooners.......stomps off stage left doing his best Fergusmoan impression muttering that he will not talk to those horrid men at the BBC because they say nasty things about him.
  5. you mean pubs in Ed actually welcome CSKA Fulham fans. Why? Have they no pride at all!!!
  6. Well played paragon, couldn't have put it better myself. each player was a hero, I thought Sebderos had a good game, and as always Sagna had a great game but doesn't get enough praise. For me (as Le Boss would say) Flamini was man of the match, and Theo doing a nuts on Kaka was priceless.

  8. Shock - Arsenal fail to win at Brum - Horror - Arsenal lucky to draw at home to Villa - Arsenals season falling apart - headlines from the media in the last few weeks. Don't you just love 'em? I wonder how they will view the side with fewest Englishmen in its' squad, that has accumulated the most reds cards since Wenger took over, yadda yadda yadda blah blah blather, and its win (the first by an English team in Europe) against the holders of the European Champions League. Not bad eh for a side that the tabloids love to lambast at every opportunity. I am very very proud of our performance and don't give a shite who knows it. We gave the Itialians a footballing lesson. That bloke Pato was a bit of a lame duck (sorry couldn't resist that) and Kaka, best player in the world???? Not on tonights showing!! We have a little English lad (shock horror, an Englishman has infiltrated that forein entity known as Arsenal!!!) who played a bit tonight, who showed real character by choosing not to go out on loan but to stay and fight for his place. Everyone in the team put in a real show of grit and character, and we also showed the Italians how to play good passing football. Effusive enough for you CitizenEd?? just count yourself lucky that I'm knackered after watching the lads or it could have been even more effusive.
  9. AC Milan 0 v Arsenal 1 Barcelona 2 v Celtic 0 Man Utd 2 v Lyon 1 Chelsea 2 v Olympiakos 0 Inter Milan 2 v Liverpool 0 - extra time and then maybe pens to decide - can't say who will win. Too close to call a bit like the AC v Arse game
  10. Low down - Boz Scaggs

Yeah, I remember that doing the rounds post lasagnegate. I've heard many excuses for a team playing badly but that has to be the most pathetic I've ever heard.
  12. Bought a ton of vinyl at a record fair over the weekend, among the titles I bought were Quadrophenia and Holland by the Beach Boys. I'd forgotten how good they both are especially the Who LP. Absolutely brilliant.
  13. Indeed, and before you know where you are we'll be letting people whose views are contrary to our own have their say. God alone knows where we would be if that was allowed!!!!!! Heaven help us and save us.
  14. Le Boss was right about one thing, we have committed the least number of fouls and are third on the list of most fouled teams ( Man Ure being top followed by Everton then us) according to one of the tabloids during the past 3 seasons. The thing is, while I don't condone such comments by Le Boss, I don't seem to recall similar reactions from the press/media when Fergusmoan has made similar remarks/comments/tirades against refs et al. But hey ho, we shouldn't sink to the purple nosed ones level, we should be better than that.

  16. Give single mothers and immigrants their own land???? Next you'll be advocating giving people over 65 a pension, and caring for the sick.
  17. I can't see England winning as much as I'd like it, because our fate is not in our hands, and Ireland is our last game. These factors combined will be the undoing of us.
  18. Could have been worse, we could have lost. Hopefully RVP will be back shortly. Good to see Fergusmoan & 'Arry still refuse to speak to the BBC. Nice to see that they don't hold a grudge. I expect it from Fergusmoan, but come on 'Arry, you're better than that.
  19. On the subject of mindless criminlas, I see a mugger was killed by his own knife by his victim. Is that the sound of cheering I hear in certain quarters. As the "victim" said after the event "live by the sword, die by the sword". Good f**king riddance, one less mindless prick for the poor taxpayer to have to pay for as he lounges around in prison.
  20. Eurovision? Always was and always will be a complete and utter waste of time and space. Pile of shite and no mistake, marginally less irritating than reality shows and x-factor type "talent" shows (why they call them talent shows is beyond me, most of the clowns on these shows are completely devoid of any).
  21. SteveT, I'd raise my hat to you if I were wearing one. You are either a terrific piss taker or you aren't afraid to say things which many people feel but are afraid to say for fear of upsetting the pussies who believe the criminal is more deserving of sympathy than the victim, which is wrong, full stop. I've had enough of hearing about criminals who've come from a broken home, come form a poor background, blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. All soft, pathetic, namby pamby, puusy, excuses. Tell it like it is, SteveT!!!!
  22. Full of middle class fecking tw*ts.

The fact that someone is poorly paid doesn't negate responsibility for doing a job properly. As for the CPS being shite, their track record is hardly glowing is it? The shopkeeper was defending his property & potentially his life, so you expect him to hang around and wait for the boys in blue to come and help him out. I've got a mate who is in the force and he has told me to do as much damage to any attacker and ask questions later, because I might end up dead if I wait for help. I guess you would tell the guy with the knife to stop being a naughty boy and to run along. As for having been in trouble with the law, nope never have been. If I was in the shopkeepers shoes I'd have done exactly the same. To me the guy is a hero. Well played that man.
  24. High horse? Wait til I get on one. CPS are shite and always have been, completely toothles one minute and wanting prosecute poor bastards like a shopkeeper trying to defend himself the next. And while we are on the subject why & who decided it should be referred to the marvels at the CPS?????
