  1. Only had good experiences, been quite a few times now for lunch- lovely staff (though sometimes a bit slow) and good food too. Bit pricey but isn't everywhere in this area?? Hope they take note of these negative comments because it's a great spot and shame to put people off with rude staff.
  2. ...You might find that you find the newborn incredibly easy after getting used to being busy with and older, more mobile child though. I appreciate the 'calm' of my baby now. Just a thought, on a more positive note!?!
  3. Erm, yes I often find myself having to cook entire family dinners/lay the table/clear up etc whilst breastfeeding the newborn in one arm, at the same time....and I also put her on a towel on the bathroom floor, or in her bouncy chair whilst I bath my toddler and get him ready for bed. Lots of sling wearing as well so I have hands free to clean the house or chase after the eldest in parks and so on. Fun fun fun!!!
  4. Ladies, not been 100% this week so I'm not sure if I'll make it in the morning (especially with my rowdy toddler with me) but I will see how I am in the morning. Please go wherever you guys want to meet up and I will check the forum tomorrow to see where you are.
  5. Think I can do this Saturday. Will have toddler with me though so will probably be a quick visit. Please can people post if they are not coming on the morning of the meet because the last couple I have rushed to get there to find nobody else, or maybe just one or two other mums had bothered to turn up. Perhaps would suit people better in the avo instead, maybe 3ish?
  6. Sainsbury's cancelled ours today and said they won't be re-booking, have to re-order (was a massive order, argh!) and no delivery slots until next wed already...hate the snow
  7. I've had one with Babybond both pregnancies, told me should be between 27-29 weeks to get the best images. My son looks exactly like his pics and his sister looks exactly like him! It was when I've really 'bonded' with the little wrigglers inside me, I'd recommend it.

  9. Glad I'm not the only one....my toddler is close to giving me a breakdown with his tantrums and throwing etc this last few weeks! Really hoping he'll grow out of it.
  10. James Barber is on the case re. pool temp and the creche opening hours. Hopefully timetable can be tweaked.
  11. I have pm'd James Barber re. creche opening earlier or adult lane swim lasting longer. Hopefully they can eventually amend the timetable.
  12. Jadal, did they have any lanes or propper space sectioned off for people to do lengths at all during general swim?
  13. When I went to 'general swim' or 'ladies only' in the past (at the old pool) you couldn't actually do a propper workout because there were no lanes, just very small sections of the pool (ie. one end of it left open)for you to go round and around in whilst the majority was taken up for things like aqua fit. I was hoping for a lane swim during creche times.
  14. Please explain and correct me if I have this wrong....It seems the new swim timetable is a complete mess up. I was excited about the opening as now heavily pregnant with my second I thought it would give me the chance to swim whilst my toddler was in the creche (get some much needed exercise which I otherwise can't fit in whilst looking after number 1 full time!). However, the morning adult swim sessions finish at 9.30am and reception have told me that the creche is open 9.30-1pm. So the creche is not actually available when mums would want to swim anyway! The next adult lane swim option is 12-1.30pm, toddler lunch time for pretty much everyone I know with toddlers. Also, the lessons are late avos...surely not ideal for small babies? Doesn't seem that the timetable was very well thought out. So frustrating. Heard it is far too cold for little ones anyway. What a shame.
  15. Sounds perfect Millie, we'll give that a go, thanks.
  16. As explained earlier Bee, usual meet is tue afternoons if ever free to join, these posts about Friday are a separate one off get together, off tangent from original thread. Think has confused you!
  17. Do you think your classes would be ok for an active 18month old boy, or perhaps more suited to babies? Timings of lessons are great, very little in avos around here...is that venue the same place as 'Health Matters'?
  18. Meet up after 2.30 in Peckham Rye picnic area tomorrow, if anyone's around and the weather's dry.
  19. Took my 18 month old on Sunday morning, 11-12. I thought the guy teaching was great and it was ideal for a run around in the morning before lunch. Whistle was loud but my little one loved it. Give it a go. As says above, just 3 pounds drop in on a Sat or Sun morn at JAGS. I prefered it to most of the pricey music/dance themed classes we do during the week!
  20. I like Hizar on Lordship Lane, for a casual Turkish style feast...they are so good with our little one and he loves tucking into pitta, humous and borek...always eats well when we take him there. The Bishop is fine too though no children's menu, but lots on the normal menu which is fine for most kids.
  21. Woo hoo, Bugaboo finally launch a double...what a shame it's side by side, it will be massive! Our hallway is definitely too narrow.
