Thank you! I know they have put up posters in the surrounding areas. You never know when someone will remember having seen a "new" dog around. Of course he isnt "new". Sadly he is 11 years old but looks younger as they had just had him clipped. He is also a big baby. My mother in law looked after him when his owners went away on holiday and he fretted and cried so much...He wouldnt eat or drink and she had to sleep with him on the floor. If only these cruel people would think before they stole a family pet at the devastation caused to both owners and the pets themselves. Someone did tell my brother law that a similar dog was taken to Lomax for a check up wrapped in a blanket. But we cant get much information.

I know its quite some time now since he was stolen,but thought I uld post the info in case someone has seen him. My brother in law's dog was stolen from outside a shop in Streatham 23/9/2007. It is a 11 year old Wire haired Terrier. Just to confirm that one tunnel runs between Maudsley and Kings.Not sure where it starts at KCH, but at Maudsley it is the high security area for obvious reasons!!I always thought it was in the 1st or 2nd building in The Institute of Psychiatry in DeCrespigny Pk. There is a tunnel which runs from KCH to Dulwich Hosp. The victorians built many of these tunnels. London is renowned for them especially those used by royalty and MP's. One from Buck Hse to Admiralty arch, and then thru to Westminster via Downing St Also the underground mail train!!! Loads of secret tunnels eh!!!! AND not just confined to London either................Many big towns have them

Well you learn something new every day they say. I will find out exactly where the tunnel is and let you know. It definately has an entrance in one of the buildings in De Crepigny Pk!!!

It starts behind Dulwich Hospital where all the big pipes are b4 the railway line. Maudsley end is down the stairs in one of the buildings in decrespney pk (I know I've spelt that wrong) Dont know where it comes up in Kings...gonna google it to see if anything comes up

My Uncle John manned the gate and the switchboard until he transfered to a "new town", Crawley in the late 1960's. I had all my ante natal appointments at Dulwich Hospital, and my son was one of the last to be born there. I made lots of visits there either as a patient or as visitor, and have been scared silly when one of the spiritual residents chased me down the staircase (turn left at the cafe, 1st stairs on the left)LOL!!!!!!!!

I have lived on the same road for 40yrs and things have changed, of course they have. Children nowadays have mobile phones, i-pods etc. We had marbles....................>:D<

The only two schools I can think of is Sacred heart at Camberwell, and Charles Edward Brook.They have a black and red uniform. If the boy also had on the same uniform then it would be sacred heart as that is co ed. The police are going to ask local schools if they have pupils matching the description who live in Crystal Palace Road. Thank you for all your kind offers of help.

OK So, They have been seen around Dulwich Plough about 4ish. Down Northcross Road between 4.20 and 4.30. Around Goose Green area after school time. I also had a PM saying that there may have been a possible sighting of them wearing school uniform, black and red. Also they have been spotted hanging around the CPT at weekends between 2.30 and 4pm. Bearing in mind that next week is half term and that our children will be out on the streets and parks, lets all have a really good think ....Do we know them? Do we know someoneone that might ????? Someone will be robbed and possibly get hurt if we dont try to find them soon...PLEASE ring 999 and dont approach them yourselves

Oh and By the way I have just asked my daughter and she says that is definately the same girls

Just to add that was the same line they asked my daughter..."What school do you go to?? "She had school uniform on, and as it is a local school, it seemed strange that they didnt recognise it. Maybe this is just their opening line???? It does sound like the same group and I am looking out for them !!!!!!

Thank you for your replies. This is in the hands of the police and doesnt seem to be and isolated incident. They appear to have been responsible for other mischief in the area.

It seems that the same girls tried to rob someone else minutes before!!!!

IF it is the same girls then they need to be stopped as they are clearly determined to lead a life of crime!!Might be worth a visit to grace and favour to ask what they were up to..........!!!

Hello PC Adrian Crust said tonight to ring 999. The report is on record and they would be able to tally it up.As soon as I get a crime reference no. I will post it on here. This is great! If every mugging/ attempted mugging etc was posted on here we might be able to show these morons that they cant "do it" in East Dulwich!!!!!

Update... The police are going to inform local schools as a matter of course. They have got full descriptions and will take action if anyone rings in.
