  1. My youngest is in Newcastle and she says it comes up to her knees, serves her right.
  2. I make a point of never refusing money, and if Tesco's largesse reaches a tenner you should have the good grace to go out and get pissed with it, as that is what unexpected dollops of dough are for IMHO.
  3. A sponsored dog walk has been done, but a sponsored dog poo removal/collection might be more successful. :))
  4. They do not look like bluebells, are you sure thats what they are?
  5. I went to Clapham Junction today and they have had no snow...... bar studs!
  6. In Arms and the Man by George Bernard Shaw the soldier said to the lady I am quite a straight forward sort of chap but a half a dozen lies wouldn't last me through a day. I consider myself to be honest and straight forward to the point where some one said of me " you've gotta watch this guy he has a brutally honest tongue". Yes I have, and I try constantly to rein in from sticking my sharp brutal tongue to someone of a sensitive nature. If I am with the lads I have a wicked sense of humour which sometimes falls flat and is interpreted as cutting but they are capable of dealing with it more so than my lady friends who see the softer gentler flirty playful side of me, I hope.
  7. Initially physical attraction is important just ask the hunch back of notre dame, but they have to be on your wavelength for the long haul, and there needs to be that vital chemistry, electricity, excitement, IT. They have to be easy and comfortable to spend close time with too.
  8. Lee Westwood, because I've heard of him and know he's a golfer and chef.
  9. I have a feisty robin who thinks the oats and cornflakes I put out are his, he not only sees off the sparrows but attacked and scared off a starling briefly, although it was a short lived fright as the starling returned and ate his fill with the robin shadowing his every move. The blackbird pecks at the pear on a daily basis, but the coal tit has decided he likes pears too, so he gets stuck in as soon as the blackbird leaves the fruit.
  10. Yes I do cook and have a freezer full of home cooked dishes to prove it, yet I still eat out as I get fed up of 'cooking for one' dishes. It is usually a pleasant change to eat someone else's fayre. More so since we got Homemade, Jacks and Bluebrick cafe's.
  11. I love the silence of the snow.
  12. I live on Barry rd and the power went off at 9 45pm Friday night and returned at 4 am ish and off again at 9 30 ish Saturday morning and when I returned after 10 pm it had just started to warm the rads. I had to leave the place to go to a buddies who had the 'taken for granted' central heating roaring away which seemed nothing short of wonderful. So if anyone wants to know how to extend their week-end, just turn the power off to your abode, you will find it's the longest week-end of the year or your life. There was a silver lining to this tale of woe, I went and ate Sheperds pie at 'Homemade' which was delicious and almost made up for the fact of having no heating, lighting, or cooking facilities. It made me realise how vulnerable we would be, and what would happen if the Russians turned their substantial gas tap off, expect riots in the cold.
