  1. A thread where mods can paste the posts they remove autonomously and explain why they did so.
  2. As you're so vocal perhaps you'll explain why you think my original 'thesis' was crap? You know the one, about our male youth of the time being occupied elsewhere. Re-read it, C&P it, break it down and explain. You can do that can't you? Bearing in mind the black shirts leader was active till 1940. I am in a convo, I have expressed an opinion, it is one informed by what I have read and seen at home and abroad. You take exception to it. Explain why .... could it be no more than being a bored old timer?
  3. Weren't. I guess you've not seen many forums where xenophobia against today's targets is being whipped up nor, probably, become concerned about Alan Lake. Edit: FYoOI http://www.hopenothate.org.uk/features/Businessman-bankrolls-street-army.php Perhaps you'll explain why Mosley was eventually interned?
  4. re a PM I have received about the autonomous (and split-second) removal of my first post on this thread I won't be PMing in reply. My post was serious, it wasn't lewd or breaking any rules as I understand them. In a forum that seems to comprise people that are mostly supportive of Assange I find it laughable that such autonomy is part of its Mods' equipment. To be able to remove, without advice or explanation (or, seemingly, discussion) is bizarre ...... almost as robotic as Deadworld (aka Live) and Disqus. Just an open thought, honest injuns :-$
  5. Given that Mosley wasn't interned until 1940, by which time conscription had started, what's your point ????? Cable St happened in '36, do you suppose he laid low after it?
  6. Very interesting convo in the last ten minutes of this programme : http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00wr9pr It's not yet available for Listen Again though, probably not till the repeat has been broadcast. .
  7. No prob, it was just the assumption about gender that seemed unnecessary, we're ether beings !! :-) I reckon Mosley didn't succeed because of the make-up of the resident population of the time, so many of our young men being absent at fronts or army camps at the time. It's not so nowadays, more of them are at home and today's prejudice is against a different type of minority... the reaction against Zionism had been a slow movement due to the limited speed of propaganda in those days. What's spread across Europe (the prejudice against another group) in just the past five years is majorly scarey and depressing. What's also scarey is the greater willingness among girls to be thuggish.

Hey ho, bruiser :))
  9. No need to knock myself out SMG nor for you to (as in knock me out or YOURself). I take it you ARE a mod. Can I know who else is?
  10. Is that an order? Were you the remover? Such summary behaviour ignores the possibility that the OPer WAS using a euphemism. However, the OPer is able to answer for themselves whether they were advising about a possible-burglar or actual dirty pervert.
  11. I take it that the first placement was removed for some reason. Any chance of a reason for that? The message could not be posted. The exact same message has already been posted before and posting duplicate messages is not allowed in this forum. --------------------------- ..... a guy offering to trim their hedge, or similar enquiry? Do you mean you were using a euphemism? ::o PS: Page back is so useful ;-)

Why you would expect someone who is > completely unconnected with this process, to have > access needs explanation Hilldweller. Clearly you have not undeerstood the point. Clearly you will claim the point wasn't clear enough. We do not ALL have the time to see and read ALL that passes between people in their jobs, do you even keep on top of what IS your own little in-tray? We are therefore ALways only aware of part of what we should be. At any moment there are things we have read out of their proper order, emails or faxes that haven't reached us or stuff that's merely unopened as yet because there was a meeting, blah blah blahdy blah. Can you really take on all the paperwork of the Home Sec, Foreign Sec, all the diplomats and all the managers and all the editors and all the other in-betweeners in adddition to your own workload? Do we really all need to be doing everyone else's jobs as well as our own? Are you super-human enough? We have the right to expect efficiency from those we pay, if you make the same gormless assertion that ASSange has you might as well admit here and now that your bosses have the right to listen in to your every convo in any medium. We also pay the wages of every cashier in the supermarket (as well as all the pensions of all the retirees) .... do we have access to their every thought and spout too ...... ? Or is there a snob-like judgement about what we do and what we don't have access to? Don't be so doggawn gormless. EVERY job entails the skill of editing properly and ASSange has not edited at all, he has merely spewed uncolloated unordered out of order out of chronology undated untitled misdescribed EVERY****ing thing. To even pretend that he is in the right forces me to assume you're wannabe-teenaged-again, before nuance mattered. ---------------------------------------------------- You've also not understood my point about Lou's work. Kinda proves my point doesn't it ....... that having some info not all info having access to all info but not having read all that info leaves one open to making stupid misjudgements. Lou interprets for one side in a case. S/he might in fact work for both, there'd be nothing wrong in that if translating is mere objectivity (but it isn't). In seeing what s/he is given to translate s/he might get a hint of what that side's tactic is going to be. As we know, in adversarial (as are most legal) situations, tactics are something one needs to keep close to one's chest. If s/he were ASSange-like would s/he be right to spill dem beans to the other side?

  15. You're a fan of 'street furniture' then? FHS that junction is looking so much better than it used to - when there was the car showroom, the humungous woodyard and the petrol station just along. If that junction is an accident black spot I'm surprised and wouldn't see the point in putting it down to a lack of metal and coloured lights and certainly wouldn't be breathing panic about children being killed on pavements, unless I wanted to make them as hysterical as I would have to be. As a current trendy slogan goes ..... keep calm and carry on.
  16. You can buy gas detectors that are either battery-driven (like smoke alarms) or plug in to a socket or orange-y patches that simply stick on the wall near an appliance and that turn black as soon as noxious vapours touch them. The Gas Board would be round in a flash (ho ho) if you advised of a leak. What a very peculiar question Tarot, do you not trust the mandated services to be qualified or to pass something so important off to someone that isn't? However, as a forum is hardly the right place to ask for such important info anyway, or trust the completeness of what's received, are you questioning the seriousness of the right party? .
  17. Let's have it Lou .... You dare, here, to claim the moral high ground in your sucky-uppy pseudo righteous appreciation of the discloser of info that its owners deem confidential .... no matter its sensitivity and who it might be exposing to danger. So do you, in your professional capacity, claim the same right with your clients so they cannot trust you with the translations they ask you to do? I'm sure you don't, so where do the marks lie for you? Let's be 'avin' you, else it's all hot air and you can just admit to being one of the EDF herd for the sake of it .... sweeeet xxx

It evoked the memory of how many times in the recent past Britain has had home-grown fascists and the fear of how easily it could happen again ..... in fact it has, with thugs being funded by a richer thug. Cable St itself is a reminder of our history, it's somewhere I pass through quite often. No I was not in London in the 30s, nor alive in them, my mother was here throughout the Blitz and my father was in Europe. They were among the lucky survivors of it all (yes I know that's obvious if it predates me). Why refer to me as Hillman, is it something to do with cars or an assumption about my gender? .
  19. Still hoping for a reply to this post Lou : Re: wikileaks Posted by: Hill Dweller December 22, 12:39PM especially given what I've subsequently read of your professional status (or the tactics of those you translate for).
  20. So enjoy your evening dick, whatever it might involve (other than bossing all and sundry) :-S
  21. Given your last five posts should I take it for granted you are among the forum's 'govt' Dick? 1. Re: wikileaks Wot's a paff? Wot's an edl type threat? 23. There's a good little Lou. Say nothing except to express the toadying. Care to advise who the mod/s are here? It does seem the appropriate thread on which to ask :)

Jolly good, perhaps they (or you if you're being modest) will jump on those accusing others of making ad hominem attacks by doing nothing other than that themselves. On the other hand you/they could do some thinking about OPers that expect their OPs to be agreed with (or disagreers to stay off thread). Back to IF you are, you could educate the wannabe-MI5ers (who on other threads denounce that organ's activities) that you have access to IPAs, know that they are shown on every post, therefore know that all my posts have come from the same IPA at all times of day and night. Further on this one you could let them know whether 'Wolf' has ever functioned from that IPA and then ALSO you could let them know how very flattering they are being to 'Wolf' by letting him/her know how obsessed with him/her they are being ..... if s/he's looking in they are surely massaging his/her ego. BIG LOL. Act on the real point, stop behaving like a fecking paff Little Englander with your EDL-like threats.
