  5. >did you really have to bring a fictional working class heroine such as Pauline Fowler, an EastEnders legend, into a debate about an annoying co-worker?< Perfect description IMHO Makes it all the more vivid for us (the middle class guardian reading pinkos that is)
  6. Louisa Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Are you suggesting because she has a working class > London accent she is irritating? > > Louisa. That and turned up to 11 (love the spinal tap reference here btw) is annoying.

  10. Oh that pub Gosh, that's been of my radar for ages Will revisit (on Stafers endorsement) Just found this http://www.londonbrewers.org/about-us/
  11. Craft Ale is a good thing, i've not seen such an interest in new beers for a long time. Plus if it doesn't sit well in malumbu's inverted narcissistic world, then all the better. Agree *Bob* but do they use those Frother Things on the pumps up there in Stoke/Barnsley As an aside, my mate's from Barnsley and he shaves his beard off when he goes home there "else they take piss outta me" Poor man, he's got issues.
  12. Numbers, you know my love of all things bacon. Remember my recipe for Buffins (bacon muffins) I'm V much liking the Pitt Cue book. Funnily, their veg dishes which are really good. Burnt leeks with anchovy hollandaise. Or burnt/chargrilled Hispi cabbage with wild garlic. And their meaty bone marrow mash is awesome. Lamb rump is very easy. Bloomim delicious the lot of it tho. On a further VEG TIP, I went to Brouno Loubet's new restaurant opening last night at The Grain Store Kings X. Some revelation and very clever. It sounds like a contradiction, but imagine a veggie restaurant that served meat too. That's their thing & I like it. Loubets new book is la la la lovely. 13. When you see "Sir Alan" and his team lined up at the board table, apparently if you looked under the table "Sir Alan's" feet don't touch the ground as his chairs jacked up high for the shot. Bless him !

  16. FFS If a carpenter needs a hammer and chooses a fekkin leather handled Estwing, costing god knows what short of ?40, then that's his/her choice. Yes other hammers are available, perfectly ok ones for ?5, perfectly ok for banging the odd nail in or hitting the thumb with. But there's not a thread about that is there. No ! On a serious note: TED you are a frikkin moron, with either hammer i'd happily nail your door shut, keeping you out of reach of any comms devices. http://s7g3.scene7.com/is/image/ae235?$p$&layer=0&size=281,281&layer=1&size=281,281&src=ae235/41235_P

Good cocktails too "Hair of the hog" Bacon Vodka sounds mental All we need is sun or another visit to Newburgh Street
  20. If it's gloss, then hot soapy water with a little vinegar added, use a soft dish or nylon brush. If it's matt masonry paint, like outside emulsion, then a little Cif cleaner with hot water and again a dish brush In each case rinse well. Most paint (interior or exterior) benefits from regular washing down.
