Funnily, I just ate (cold) some steamed greens, beans, peas and those long thin broccoli thing, which i'd chopped some mint, oil and oregano into Delicious I thought, but a splock of salad cream would work here a treat.

  8. This is one possibility: OP is sniffing out a property and the owners won't budge on price OP posts as above and creates a Nunhead-going-to-the-dogs vibe OP goes back to vendor "Well, i'd like it but the ear on the ground says...." OP shows vendor local forum thread Vendor thinks "yeah, now I KNOW I want out" OP offer is accepted Job done.
  9. No but really, I ACTUALLY LIKE NUNHEAD (for the record)
  10. Tis vey vey naice It is Camberwell proper isn't it. I like that and it's quite posh actually y'know I'd deffo live there
  11. True Louisa, there's permanent Wednesday feel in Nunhead A grubby manilla mirage, lost in its own anonymity, a cemetery of the past Nothingness upon nothingness, death row for dormice, discarded chicken box A torn-up not so lucky "lucky dip" and a white dog shit that goes unnoticed Oh sweetness, this is sounding like the lyrics to a Smiths song. *flops into nan's inherited 1940's sofa & wails "nunhead" into a bell jar*
  12. Putting the log fire on again (as I did last night, and the night before)
  13. I actually agree with Louisa (fancy that) here. Though it's not deteriorated, but maybe stagnated sideways a little. It seems to have retained much of the good stuff and not fallen into the over gentrification mode. When I first moved to london many years ago it was the one place where I thought "I could live here" and bar a few spammy flat developments, I still could. As for dogs fighting, then any dogs at it is quite scary. The noise and the apparent lack of control is shocking, whatever the breed. Sadly not many owners know how to separate a dog in full swing & i've seen normally bright smart people doing stupid things to try and split them. That in its self creates high drama and risks personal injury.

  17. Without being facetious. If you're carrying any excess bodyweight, then loose it. It's a positive way to give the injury a chance to heal.

And with equal seriousness, regardless of the infringement? What an excellent notion< You even deride your own comment with "What an excellent notion" Lastly, Uri Geller used to bend spoons out of shape, you take other peoples views or comments and do the same. Except Uri Geller was quite entertaining with it.

  21. DaveR talking out of his saddle sore ar5e again >in Italy you won't find any 'vegetarian options'< Verdura Vegetables Italian Style Vianna La Place Mc Millan books http://www.abebooks.co.uk/Verdura-Vegetables-Italian-Style-Place-Viana/4817582977/bd 385 pages on Italian vegetable dishes. Quite the book on "you guessed it" Italian vegetable dishes.
  22. Last night I ate at Bruno Loubet's new place The Grain Store in Kings X Very veg orientated and friggin good/innovative too. There are meat options, but not hugely based around it. *Like*
