They had a strangely attractive aroma & warmth about them Horse didn't seem to mind And come to think of it, i've actually kissed 2 horses teeth & the teeth of an English Bull terrier. This is a very odd start to a BHM
  7. My ex got me to kiss the teeth of a horse Does that count ?

  10. OKAY Limes they are then. I'd ask for a cut in your council tax, I mean come on "leaves" are part of the tree deal. I blame the Tories/UKIP
  11. steveo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > You'll have to invite me round > > BBQs to me mean underdone Lidl drumsticks, warm > Heineken and singed eyebrows > > I usually cook a nice meal later on :)) You're dead funny steveo tallulah71 Top tip is brining. It's the 'thing' that absolutely changes everything.
  12. Pork bellies after 2 + hours Steveo ....Hmmmm
  13. steveo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Is there such a thing as a lovely BBQ? In my gentle hands yes Steveo. It started yesterday with a brining. You're possibly thinking of burnt-to-fekk-char-grilling-by-idiots But slow, moist and gentle. Cooked with wood and charcoal indirectly, is very good.
  14. I reckon he's "Y'know" *kicks bucket for dramatic effect*
  15. intexasatthe moment Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I opened this thread hoping it was going to tell > us that the savaged lime trees in Barry Rd were > soon to cloaked in lovely pale green leaves . > > But I was wrong . Are they not Platanus Acerifolia ? Many trees have been cut back hard due to the wet season previous. They'll recover.
  16. I'm doing "garden food" today AKA BBQ Brined pork bellies in my hot smoke can for 3+ hours. Lovely.

  19. In some ways i'm happy to see the building will used properly BUT in some way I like its almost good/crappyness If that makes sense, just that when these places get "done" they tend go a bit meh, all knowing bar snacks in jars & staff with swipe fobs And "i'll be with you in a minute" Tho i'll probably change my mind as it evolves, then love it/slag it off when it opens. (think thats all the bases covered)
  20. Oh lorks I've come early *red face here*

  22. >Down in the south of the borough, something is stirring... bits and pieces, odds and ends, flotsam and jetsam, the offshoots and outcasts are coming together, a ragtag rabble, a motley collection of misfits, a gathering! From the margins and fringes they come, with one purpose, one destination, they represent a myriad of tribes, a cornucopia of clans, a stream of weathered rainbow threads woven together. A flowing, ebbing, pulsating river of life, of stories, myths and legends; follow their paths as they stalk through Southwark, tracing the routes of their ancestors. What are they? They are a mirror Southwark, a mirror... Who are they? They are you Southwark, they are you... They are coming!< Sounds like that "Non bonfire night" thing of wishy washyness ANYONE who says "cornucopia of clans" needs a frikkin front wedgie I ask you !

  24. Bellenden Road is nice, I can walk freely without looking-at-listening-bumping-into the people/shops who'd be in the Rye Lane area. I'm fine with that & i'm sure i'm not missed over there. Not looking for Shangri-La though. Just a bit of peace, and a decent coffee.
