  12. It's a niche thread - for Tool heads. You can share your favourites here in safety. Personally i'm torn between the classic Stirrup Pump http://www.london-fire.gov.uk/Images/Stirrup_pump.jpg and the Garden Flame Thrower. http://www.grizzlycentral.com/forum/attachments/great-outdoors/6145d1248574752-what-coolest-tool-you-have-flamethrower09.jpg I'm not sure which i'd rather own, just for the sake-of-owning-one. ( I think the flamethrower is edging it - tho in my dream i'm floating down lordship lane in a canoe during a flood, I see that well know Dub-Duo bobbing along in their silly truck but they've snagged them selves on a lampost outside the ED Deli. The not bald one is trying to fish a soggy loaf out of the flood water with a colander on a stick, he panics and tries to hide under the damp tonneau cover. But too late, I pull the Garden-Flame-Thrower up and pump the trigger - and a 40ft flame licks across the water, torching the sound system and truck into dust. And as I float by the not bald one & the nearly bald one bob in the murky water - eyes blinking, smarting from the heat - all in slow mo. "Why" they mouth "Why not, it's my dream" I mouth back, giving the trigger one last blast & setting the hanging basket on the lampost alight..)
  13. Hayes OMG It's full of tarmac laying caravan dwelling peg sellers.
  14. http://www.justhungry.com/images/cenovis1.jpg Now we're talking! Think Marmite, but with a beery undertone.
  15. Did they get you one of these Colin You'd look proper dapper ! http://rlv.zcache.com/mouse_trap_hat-p148677248147063542enxqz_400.jpg
  16. I tots agree with Colin (even tho I generally dis' the area, just for kicks). The cottages and the surrounding housing stock are v nice, as is the Alexandra nursery itself. There's some very nice streets toward Clockhouse too, and even the high Street is changing. Mind you there is also a Greggs, a Mc D's and a KFC, all a short distance of each other (take from that what you will) It's also close to Beckenham, therefore close to WAITROSE which in itself gives you added bragging rights over ED. (if that's your bag kinda thing)
  17. When you open a packet of lumpwood charcaol, the gun metal colour stuff is Sweet Chestnut wood. Whereas the Oak is the smaller bits that burn hotter.
  18. Vegimite already tastes "off" no ?
  19. Glad to see Reginald's "shredded wheat" hair has been resolved. That alone is progress. All that's needed now, is to up the med's for the Frank Cannon looky-likey. It's pitiful tho.
  20. Mornington Crescent ?
  21. Brockley maybe. If you have kids, then Sydenham for the schools. Or if you're looking for something different, then maybe New X-ish. But not Penge or Annerley (WTF is Annerley, I live in SYDNM & still don't know) - god no.
  22. edhistory Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Well done. > > That's 35 minutes on their "witnessing card" > instead of one minute. > > A good way to invite another visit. > > John K Honestly, I don't mind as they're well meaning people IMO (mind you I do work most Saturdays) And sometimes I say "not today thank you" and they politely leave. I quite like it that "person in towel and socks witnessed for 35 minutes" is written somewhere. Makes me smile.
  23. 8
  24. I love them coming round (specially if/when i'm only wearing a towel & socks) If i'm in the mood I can get them "to make their excuses" to leave. 35 minutes is about the best i've done, thus far. "I'm ok with God, it's just organised religion & confined spaces that get me"
  25. But on Sunday's lent pledges are suspended So, can we talk about the inappropriate canine emptying outside of the "mirage" shop in question, on that day ?
