So limited scientology input - what goes around comes around... except the mother ship.

I knew I'd blown it when I saw it had caterpillar tracks Red... Caterpillar Tracks!! Four of them!! And the driver perched on top like it was some kind of giant tractor, and the faces on the delayed drivers... On reflection I think it was LL's most exciting event of the week month let alone today.

Is that like the old 'Tableaux Vivant' shows at the Windmill? I.E. if they move or speak they get arrested? I look forward to the EDL's "Nymphs Bathing" and "Diana the Huntress".

I shall have to take to my velour day-bed to get over the shock doc. PS - is a shock doc like a shock jock? "There's nothing wrong with you , you malingering waste of space! A little liver damage and an amputation and you want some pink medicine?! You make me puke!"

My niece used to squeal at hearing milk called cow juice but my OH loves currant buns which she refers to as dead fly buns. This is inane I know but I have a feeling it's that kind of day.

collapse of usa, bloody john lewis and his irish flypapers, cats stealing bikes and holidays where you can drink the water but not eat the bread, but it's Fri-i-i-i-iday! I know an impromptu military two-step into Waltham Forest is out of the question so any other suggestions for gang mindless activity or is there a thread out there that titilates/intrigues enough to actually read the comments (and not just skip to the gratuitous insults at the end)?

Kiddy tv presenter replaced by presenter of Ch4's 'Tool Academy' - puns on a postcard please to... Great runs by Dai Greene and Hannah England.

Given Barcelona's latest 'total-football' experiment playing 9 midfielders one defender and a gk is that the way for the top premiership (or all) clubs to go? And shouldn't the England team (bearing in mind the disastrous showings at recent tournaments) be picked and coached to this end also? If so are out-and-out strikers (especially those who don't track back or tackle) and defenders, who can only put themselves in the way and hoof it upfield, outdated?

Well Parker's leaving was inevitable but Bentley could be a good loan signing. Demel could provide a bit of strength at the back and Lansbury could be desperate to impress Wenger with a glut of goalscoring while on loan. That's three 'coulds' because Bentley 'could' have lost all confidence and be a waste of time, Demel 'could' get 'homesick' (as he did when at Arsenal) or be sent off all the time and Lansbury could be another young gooner who fails to realise his potential. Could be an interesting season.

Arsenal fans always put their team first, but if they want to avenge last Saturday they may have a long time 2-8.

Though I believe NewMum is guilty of trying some OTT type of ironic humour I agree with the doc wholeheartedly. Whether it's Nash's red lemonade or Club orange, Taytos, Odlum's flour or a sack of imported spuds at Christmas (though still no luck on the Kerr's Pinks last year) there are many things an Irish person can buy to get a taste of home, not to mention newspapers including some regional ones. The woman in charge can seem a little grumpy and is nearly always in mid-conversation when I've been in but once you have her attention the experience is perfectly safe.

udt "I'm sorry if you disagree with my views in that Africans should be represented in their own events." I did not say this. udt "the Peckham Rye fete is a community event and not targetted at any particular ethnicity" I did say this. My initial post - meant lightheartedly and in answer to those lamenting the cancellation of the Irish Festival - was to illustrate that there is an 'event' taking place in the park this Saturday which my partner and I were going to attend as representatives of the Irish and English communities. Your response to that was that 'the Irish' are already catered for and the Africans are not. That had nothing to do with my post. If you want to make a point about different ethnic groups receiving differing levels of support from the GLA may I suggest you start a thread on the topic. Enjoy your game.

LM - the bio powder solution (see what I did there?) works as the enzymes in the powder eat away at the burnt sugar but if seriously affected it may take time. Ladygooner's simmering may work if you remember not to leave the pan alone.

that's right, no silk sick jokes.

Undisputedtruth Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > @maxxi, > > I thought the Irish were already catered for by > the GLA. The GLA also caters for the Chinese. > > But I can't see no one catering for the African > community. > udt - I am English, my partner is Irish and we intend to attend the said fete on Saturday. This fete is organised by the Friends Of Peckham Rye Park of whom I know little but suspect they are not governed by issues of race/ethnicity rather than by local people trying to preserve and enjoy a local facility. Whether the GLA funds or otherwise helps the foprp I have no idea but if they do I suspect that they too would refrain from deciding to help or not based on arguments of race/ethnicity. As I am English and my partner Irish (keeping up?) we shall enjoy the festivities (despite it not being a festival) in an English and Irish manner. This should be enough for you but I would also add that the deliberate double negative and your trouble in perceiving which ethnic groups are 'catered' for by the GLA are tiresome red herrings. Why don't you go to the fete and see if any Africans are being catered for there? It would be a start.

I have a basic Samsung compact which has a macro and super macro feature which most compacts have - looks like this- http://t1.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQ8eoCTh7lYMcsXHSbz8WLmOY5j4mhQbW5N8EE3U8aagQdBQFQa the super macro being same icon with a circle around it These settings enable close up shots - even of flowers.

42. Mixing threads in a single post is a sure sign of advanced forumitis unless used as specified in rule 7 (the Loz amendments). 19. Pointing out that Carnelli sounds like a ready meal is unfair and personal... and great with sugo d'Amatriciana.

Well I shall be taking my Irish OH to the Peckham Rye Fete this Saturday in an attempt to be festive in an Irish and English manner - at the same time! (Beer tent, Pimms, French Cider, Coconut shy, Punch & Judy, etc.).
