Love this place. The draught red (currently a spicy-ish Cotes du Rhone)and white are good, and there will soon be a draught ros? (provencal-type) too, which will be chilled. Bruno & Lou are both friendly and willing to talk about any and all of their wines and are open to feedback - which makes a change from "it's what head office send us". The Beaulieu chocolate is pretty damn good too.

I moved to Dr Sarma BECAUSE Melbourne Grove was so poor (and it really is poor) looks like this is a done deal and we'd all better look elsewhere - I would strongly suggest you give MG a miss. -

Exactly this - the trick is surprising other teams with those 2 plus Lambert, Barkely and Ox-Chamberlain - let them think Rooney and Lampard and Gerrard are the key men and it could work.

Okay - got my wallchart now (3 in fact - you wait ages for one to come along and then...) Yes, Belgium look a good shout - but then they always do. The outcome of the Germany/Belgium/Portugal tussle could provide one of the finalists - Argentina & Brazil faves but quite fancy Chile as an outside bet.

Is the new Wallander series any good? I enjoyed the whole Wallander stuff a few years ago but despite having recorded all of the latest series I have yet to watch one - every time I think I might I find I can't be arsed.

StraferJack Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > People read way to much into pre tournament > friendlies Possibly - but last night wouldn't rankle if it weren't for the tantalising glimpse of what COULD be in the 2nd half v Ecuador. Last night was the same old malaise, as though concentration and confidence disappear when some players play for England; replaced by a nervy, jittery, sloppy perma-panic that thrashes wildly without getting anywhere. I agree they have to start with the (relatively) nerveless new caps; Barkely, Lambert, Ox-C, Sterling, Lallana etc. who will make mistakes but don't seem to let that throw them or sap their desire to try it again. If they do their stuff then the leaky back isn't such a terrible problem - we'll just score more than them! ...though that could just be the Iron in me talking:)

If they play like this in the WC England won't get a single point let alone get out of their group. No point in singling out the crappier elements - they were ALL shite.

only saying what we're all thinking Michael - years ago Celtic may have been relevant in a debate about euro-footy but these days they're an asterisk; a "did you know?"; a once-upon-a-time story for the dwindling band of 'fans' who still give a toss about scottish footy. No one cares.

Oh dear - you've fallen into the obvious tabloid definition that is unable to determine chappiness by degrees, you have obviously never been in the The Queens (20 minutes to k.o.) when the call to prayer is heard "Awright chaps, let's go!"

Man knocking on door offering to clean windows...
maxxi replied to rrcog1988's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
The old (and I mean old) window cleaning scam used to be someone knocking and offering a window-cleaning service, saying they were starting in a week or so and if you wanted to be sure of getting a prime position in the queue they would take a fiver deposit there and then ... it's how a few Millwall fans got the money to attend home games. -

Yes - a European club like VS Lichtenstein or Grasshoppers Malta - a tiny foreign club no one gives a shit about.

still at basics - recently moved from a samsung ?15 job to an old motorola on ebay for ?5 (so I could take advantage of the 321 payg plan on "3") so only use it for calls and texts - costs less than ?10/month and I mean a lot less.

steveo Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Lampard is a dick True - he's got a rival in Milner though. And the England defence. Lambert, Ox and Barkely looked good for a while - don't mind losing the ball by trying to run 'em, always go again but they need like-minded support (they even woke Wilshere out of his coma for a spell) Lampard just needs a rest say, 5 or 6 weeks. Anyone know the point of having Flanagan and Stones come on as they're only on standby?
