I put the Pool down for a 3-1 win as a prediction - and got the West Ham score right again :) Carroll's return gave the team a boost and the whole Flores nonsense has got them even more fired up (Nolan in partic.) - just hope it lasts.

Before the Swansea game I was hoping a manager would be sacked after it as a result of the result... *sigh* Life's way of pissing in your satchel.

I know - red rag and all that Don't WANT to be relegated but would happily suffer it IF it got rid of SA. Unfortunately it might not even manage that as the porn brothers would probably think he was the best option for the Championship. - and it looks like the style of footy that Allardiccio always said he wasn't "just all about" is at Upton Park to stay (as long as he is) and may be good enough to see off enough teams like Swansea (at home) to avoid the drop. Like EP said - something about cogwheels and diffidence.

You're either just shit stirring or you still don't get it. I'll just say a good victory for the club... and for Allardiccio's strongdefence/long ball/bombs into the box muscular '?lan'. Carroll out for three now though. ETA: Though I did get the score right on the EDF Predictor League :)

As it would if it opened on any other quiet road. Are you saying it should open onto a busier one that would, presumably, become even busier? Not being snarky - just that if people object to schools opening on busy and on quiet roads there's not a lot left.

I think he's watched Aguero, Negredo and Dzeko and thinks any player whose name ends in an 'o' is worth a shot (sic). (The Salvadoro Allardiccio Method-o).

Bring on the Italians! Borriello and Nocerino and now Napoli full-back Pablo Armero... BFS's taking this Allardicci thing a bit far isn't he? ETA: - Mea Culpa, Armero's Columbian of course (must be the enforcer).
  13. GG school has its entrance as far away from the main rd (Tintagel Cr.) as possible and I assume the new school would similarly have its main entrance on Landcroft Rd not LL? View Larger Map

Jah Lush Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > It's a new wine merchant specialising in French > wine run by Bruno and Lou Ah.. is this the same Bruno who took over at Nicolas in April/May 2012? In that case it should be a huge success and I shall definitely be paying a visit.
  15. Def. a wine shop - racks of the stuff in there today and glass-fronted fridges down the back. Hoping the huge barrels I saw being installed a few weeks back aren't just for show and there's some decanting of their own going on...

I just can't stabd BFS coming out and talking like he's a tactical genius. Double yep. And agree with Jah about ManC - if we end up going there on the last day of the season needing a point a fleet of charabancs won't be enough. Last night exposed Chelsea's limitations - they weren't baffled by BFS's genius, they just lacked the ability to overcome a group of players desperate for points and sick of being spanked.
  18. Who revived this thread!? Or has it, indeed, been revived? Perhaps this is no longer a live thread but the shadow of a thread that 'passed over'. A thread essence that lives on in our collective consciousness and all those posting on it are giving it form and/or suffering (and contributing to) an emotionally generated mass hallucination. Or perhaps they're asleep at their keyboards and it's all automatic writing. Am I really posting this - or have I been ghost written? wooooooo...

If they're the lightweight aluminium poles a hacksaw would do the job. For the steel ones you really are better off with a grinder - you can hire them.

Be nice to think Hodgson would put out a team of kids to show what the FA thinks of such a ridiculous commercial con trick - but they'll probably steal the idea and use it to get England playing as many money-spinning friendlies as possible. eta - just read it and we don't play them anyway but the principle still stinks.
  24. Like others I only moved here fairly recently (2006) and things have been samey ever since - in the spirit of this thread though I have fond memories of Peckham and Rye Lane etc. from when I lived in Green Hundred Road in 1988-92. I remember pints of guinness and roast spuds in the Free Trade Inn on Sundays - watching lost-looking groups of Bros fans heading to Commercial Way hoping for an encounter. ET correct dates.
