If the game is stopped for a penalty maybe the opposing side should have the opportunity to appeal (like cricket and US football - 2 per team per game?) and ask the third official to judge via the slow-mo replay (the game has stopped anyway) with the penalty for diving (if that's the case) being a card.
  7. As the age old meat v veg debated rages on a new patch, the manager at Moxons feels left out... http://www.chinabasket.co.uk/images/uploads/thumbs/thumb_CG503-Camberwick-Green-Mr-Carraway-Fish-Shop.jpg "There is another way you know..."
  8. Er, is this still the 'silly pictures' thread? In an effort to be recognised by even more people, Foxy increases his repertoire of magic tricks... "As you can see it's just an ordinary box..."

I dunno Jah - AVB is after another striker or two in Jan isn't he? And Defoe wants regular games to make the England team... Young is looking more & more ridiculous every time he does this - at least it wasn't in an England shirt this time (and long may that continue)

A "come and get me" for January. http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/jermain-defoe-says-transfer-from-west-ham-to-tottenham-was-a-massive-mistake-8922251.html Vaz Te and Downing out - Defoe and Ba in? Sounds like a plan.

If The Patch is still a tied house then my expectations of local beers etc are unrealistic - I think I was confused by their declaration of being "Fully independent and self-sufficient," and that they were "owned, supplied and managed by the local community".

I suppose it is a fair price for an imported Cornish beer - but I was expecting (hoping for) more local beers (like the Crystal Palace Bitter the Draft House had a couple of weeks back for ?2.75 a pint).

The towers ARE, rightly, a source of embarrassment and help with crowd control. It's hard to surge mob-handed up Green Street with intent, chasing the opposition who were let out early, when you have a giant play-fort at your back. They also serve to keep us humble when get a bit of a swagger on. Well, okay, IF we get a bit of a swagger on.
