  1. Slightly disappointed we don't get to see exactly WHY Catarella is the way he is (what it was that so frightened him in the Legnaia [woodshed]) and am waiting on tenterhooks for the episode where all of Salvo's hair drops out.
  2. Green schmeen - it's gesture politics. And the ban is for ALL single use bags btw - including paper bags and those made from plant-starch And it only applies to large supermarkets (not ordinary-sized shops, Tesco Metros, market stalls, etc.) a and even there, there are plenty of loopholes - you can still have a placcy bag if they are "for promotional/free items (eg catalogues)" for example, so expect Tescos to give out lots of free promo shit).

Come now - no need to take this league THAT seriously. The cold wind of reality will be blowin' around the Boleyn soon enough. Breaking Bad

Just got series 5 eps 1-8 dvds which I am about to consume... DID get re-interested in the whole thing through series 4 and now feel it's all going to end a bit too soon - may limit myself to one ep a night* *yeah, right.

If liability means clod hopping dullard. No invention, no ideas, just heavy-footed ambling which any decent team would murder. England just don't have any truly world class players any more. No game-changers.

so the general shittiness of the last 87 minutes and Hodgson's total cluelessness aside: Wilshere off for Young - what a stupid substitution When did Walcott finally lose his bottle? (edited for vowel manipulation)

So just as he's aboout to come back Andy Carroll injurs his foot in training - not to worry, I'm sure BFS has a plan. After all, you'd never put all your eggs in such a fragile basket, never structure a whole squad around one injury-prone laddie, unless you had a plan B like buying some serious striker back-up... oh, wait.. no, plan C - we're going to play like Barcelona "sans striker". I wonder if Carroll has Dean Ashton's phone number?

  11. You still use a cheque/paying in book? Where do you bank? The 20th Century?
  12. This isn't a pavement at all but a driveway that is marked on maps and even has a street name "Sage Mews". The pavement stops, there are even kerb stones to alert the pedestrian or errant cyclist to that fact - so no car was "crossing the pavement" but the cyclist was crossing a driveway/road without due care and attention.

It's just frustrating - Sullivan & Gold had all summer to flog off Vaz Te & Maiga and now the club has looked out of the office door and seen a lonely figure playing keepy-uppies... a figure who failed to land a club even as a free agent... a striker with a crappy average - and they've said "'Ere, fancy a game son?"

Why they didn't get Ba? - Mourinho was willing to lend him out - just not to the gooners

Carlton Cole back having a fitness test at West Ham as a free agent - No no no no no no NO! "That's the idea, get rid of the dead wood then when you can't offload your dead-beats (Maiga, Vaz Te) buy back the dead wood!"* *From BFS's Book of Football, chapter 6. "signing a shed load of wide men to knock it in the the big lad up front".

Don't be silly - there will always be things you're not watching that you know you're not watching but there are also things you're not watching that you don't know you're not watching even though you're not watching them.* *This is why celeb BB is always such a mystery.

  18. Central London may have been cashless for years but yesterday two sets of tourists boarded a #12 on Regent St (just north of Oxford Cirus) and paid in cash to get to Westminster - one family group asked for "Two adults and one child please" for which they were charged just under a fiver. Interesting to note that (ime) general enquiries to bus drivers from visitors (particularly where there are language difficulties) hold up journeys in town far more than payments.

2012-2013......We needed a striker. Spent big on a crosser of balls (Jarvis) to feed our one injury-prone front man. Should have bought a striker. 2013-2014......We need a striker. Spent big on a crosser of balls (Downing) to feed our injured front man. Talk about De Ja fucking Vu. Vaz te and Maiga not cutting it - need to sell both. Should have bought a striker
