heya. In what way, to study or just how to use one? Kids and computers seem to be duck and water. Does he have one he can use anytime he likes? Do you have a friend who doesnt mind sitting with him/her a bit occaisionally? I'm just saying that in a casual and self taught way they learn a lot. But the hardcore stuff,9 is young..the eyes may glaze a bit as its boring some of it. From about 13/14 its easier to concentrate if its the coding and so on thats of interest. I'll let somoene more knowledgeable than myself take it from here.Interested to see. Mine, one of em is too young now, but shes interested too.

I play quake 3, a mod of it called Threewave and a mod of call of duty called united offensive. Somehow i got into it from a demo off a cd i was given..quake 3 . Guess it was about 2001. I liked tomb raider 3. So my nearest and dearest thought I would enjoy the proper version of quake 3. Initially was into 'how it all works' but a couple of years later I was pumping my broad band , tweaking for accuracy and have been to Lan parties in california,50 or so people connected in one building. Am an admin on some gameservers and have some very fun friends all from these games. Now I have less time for this tho. i usually play in high ping scenarios (usa gameservers where my gaming friends are)but if anyone fancies a go on uk servers of quake/call of duty/unreal Im up fo it. Only play off computer though.Message me or whatever and we'll find a server.

yeah, before I say no more on this thread (phew eh?) in response to Rosie H , once whilst stuck in a queue in sainsbury's I made a quick calculation on how many actual chickens, bits of different chickens in the same pack etc just in that one branch. Then multiply roughly how many other Sainsbury's. Then add tesco's, waitrose and so on, then high street butchers..goes on like that. Its mind boggling figures you cant keep up with.Just in one day. M`ny years ago, 89/90 i think it was i was asked to provide music/noise for channel 4 'critical eye' called Pandoras Box.it was about industriallised meat farming and poultry. I had one of those big old pneumatic video machines installed in my house. Every day Id get up have a coffee and drag myself in to get started. Started meant having to view 2 hours of the most revolting footage Ive ever seen. The program last night looked glamourous compared to that. What would happen is the film crew and team would be shown 'barns'. these however were 'showbarns'. barns also means huge warehouse sized rooms. So, a couple of guys at the back would break off, as they were carrying secret cameras. They would break in to the other 'barns' , this was the footage that was used. of course, the tv show was only 40 minutes or so but we had to work with the full length. Dude Hugh will in no way, being a well known name, be allowed to film in the places the public 'dont need to see'. Show barns had a few not very well looking chickens(1?), the real thing had countless.Really sick ones, dead ones, mutant ones. It was hell on earth and I couldnt bear to do the job I'd initially been excited to be a part of.Sean's so right when he says we are removed from the stench et all. The industrial 'killing machine' that actually takes the birds out (kills em) has to be seen to be believed. 99 percent of people would not eat this stuff if they actually saw with their own eyes . Meaning, if this is how we treat animals,then if we call others 'animals' cruelty is is 'normal'. Obviously Im not a meat man, i also worked in an abbatoir once, that did it for me when i was 18. My children though have CHEAP sausages and so on at school and ham and chicken etc. Dont think theyd want me suggesting a 'school trip' for school would they. A reality trip. By the way, the bits too cancerous for people are thrown into a pile for the dog food manufactuers. Lets not forget that huge market right there. Just think how much money would be saved if people ate just say 3 meat (not that theyd have to) meals a week. Not 3 a day. Far less methane, illness, less land needed. Id rather they didnt at all,however thats way to extreme for most. Personally I thought Jamies school meals was genius. Good on him. I wasnt a fan till then. Any of them cheffies.. I'm a bit ard of hearing (my bad)so its either the music and not having a conversation (dinner music in someones home is a nightmare, I'll start picking it apart cant help it) or no music and fun chat. Background noise wins. Ive enjoyed dj at gowlett but hardly chatted (shouted) at all. Uplands has awful acoustics true. Though it seems to work at the rye,plus if you want to talk you can escape the speakers. Anyways, have fond memories of many a lunch at Uplands when it was run by the Belgic lady.I forget her name.Also the chef was a sweetie then and I booked a room there a oouple of nights also back then (2/3 years ago) for my gal to get away from the sleepless child. its changed hands a couple of times since.one of those haunted corner sites that could be great but somehow never is. the peckham fathers group would go in there after the session and decimate the place, the kids would and they never whinged. Good crew. Now,hmm food aint as good although its still doable. i wish theyd 'get it right'. Its a perfect spot. I too remember when it was an Ausie bar.

Tricky job in this current climate, not sure hes the man but I dont know who else would be. However, when i found out that he had facial surgery from an accident and a broken eye, I realised that really contributes to some of the expressions he pulls. meat burgers i dont care about. but what annoys me is if i go there with friends who do, the option for me is shite. In new york for example there are non meat burgers that are so awesome you cant believe it. They are a different breed to anything you see here (i should import them!). so, be great to think some joint with a name like 'gourmet burger kitchen' could be up with the times and include something like what im suggesting.A few mushrooms pinned together in a bread roll with chutney or whatever sucks.
