Neighbours ignoring isolation rules
TreacleRabbit replied to Ronnijade's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Noise wise, you?d have to call the noise team and record them. We used white noise and ear plugs too - bad neighbours are awful. -
Neighbours ignoring isolation rules
TreacleRabbit replied to Ronnijade's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
It is very hard staying in so much. And your neighbours sound annoying in general terms, and to society if they are not obeying social distancing. But, then having other people into their flat is very unlikely to give you covid, just wash your hands or sanitise them whenever you have used the hallway. The fact that they are bad citizens, try to ignore it. It?s like all the other bad citizens in the world. You can?t change them. I?m sorry they are causing you stress. -
There is another thread on this - agree they are too bright! How do we complain?

Aggressive man - Peckham rye park
TreacleRabbit replied to contented sow's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip

I contacted the Parks section on the council about the sand pit, because the sand level is too low for the equipment eg the wooden structure (it?s very hard for little kids to climb up onto the bottom rung, hard to use the metal diggers etc). They say that more sand is due this month. Just posting for info.

steam fair on peckham rye

I agree it?s too loud! I love the old timer music but when we were at the fair it was all far too loud, especially the pop music. Too many speakers. -
The Dreaded Royal Mail 'Something For You' Cards
TreacleRabbit replied to JickieC's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
RM returned my parcel to sender, without ever having actually brought it to the house. They repsonded to my complaint saying that it had the wrong address on. Strange that whichever other address in ED they kept ?trying to deliver it to? was never in either .... Pull the other one RM! We don?t use them at all any more. A real shame. -
The Dreaded Royal Mail 'Something For You' Cards
TreacleRabbit replied to JickieC's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
I have found it impossible to get something actually delivers to my house since early Jan! First I had an email saying that we?d been out. No cars through door. Then I arrange 2 deliveries, no delivery, no card Also, I?ve had a letter today dates 2 weeks ago and another very similar. It is chaos! -
If you know who he is, you could get legal advice to pursue him for civil damages (especially if the police aren?t interested). Or, you could challenge the police decision not to progress it (as saying they are unreasonable).

Do you want Controlled Parking YES or NO
TreacleRabbit replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Perhaps given the vociferous responses so far, and the total criticism of the questionnaire (even the voluntary questions), those who would say yes aren?t going to do it on the public forum. A survey would be useful ..... ;) -
Maternity at Kings and St Thomas
TreacleRabbit replied to Calvert's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I had a CS at King?s in 2015. The post natal Ward (William Gillat Ward) was horrible - staff were not nice, the Ward was so hot, the one bathroom was disgusting. There was no care. Second CS at Chelsea in 2017, midwives were all lovely, clean, efficient. It felt safer. -
Reserving car space with wheelie bins
TreacleRabbit replied to maritap's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Re reserving a space for the school or nursery run. If you have more than one child, it can be quite difficult to get them all from the car to the house, if the car has to be parked miles away, and not leave any child alone. It?s like one of those logic puzzles where you have a fox and a rabbit in a boat ....! To save all that, bins in the road for 5mins, doesn?t seem so bad. It?s not really about that particular space, but being close enough to the house to get hem all in safely, where you can see etc It can -
former East Dulwich councillor - how can I help?
TreacleRabbit replied to James Barber's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
Re: builders using bins to 'reserve' parking. This is happening every day on our street too. I don't mind if it's irregular to allow for deliveries, but it's just for them to park their vehicle outside. is there a permit they can get to ensure parking/space on delivery days? -
Chuff - I'm not sure that's right (that dogs can be off lead on the lawns/grass just outside of the children's play areas. The byelaw says dogs must be on lead for the 'central area' & sports pitches, and the Friend's map seems to show dogs being exercised (I presume off lead) only around the perimeter of the park eg outside the circle of those 'dogs must be kept on a short lead' signs. https://www.southwark.gov.uk/assets/attach/2275/Dulwich_Park_Trail_2011.pdf

Does anyone know what the rules are for Dulwich Park and Peckham Rye Park re: dogs being on leads? I have checked the council websites and 'friend's of' websites, and nothing. I have seen the actual signs in Both parks re 'dogs must be on a short lead', but does that relate to the whole park, or just the area behind the sign? Thanks for your help,

It's not exactly a one off but tonight they are especially loud: shouting/singing/music. Does anyone know what the address is please?
