  2. Despite taking the piss earlier, and strongly believing that calling for a ban on all public sales is a ridiculous idea, I am actually having sympathy with Mustard now. If all of her reports of fireworks are accurate (no reason to believe they're not), then someone near her gaff is taking the piss.
  3. Speaking of the club shed, I notice the skeleton of a larger shed being erected next to it... Outside bar perhaps???
  4. Frankly if I was inviting people to a kids party I'd rather say "please don't feel you need to bring a gift". Making a "suggestion" (whatever it is) is basically saying a gift is expected. Personally I think that's wrong.

Recent ones are basically tablets, so wouldn't be surprided if they disturbed sleep. Kindles from 3 or 4 years back had screens which didn't glow and were easy on the eye. My missus often reads in bed with hers and doesn't seem to have any problems.
  6. Do you mean this http://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/myleene-klass-confronted-at-school-gates-over-birthday-present-posts-10027958.html (your link is a page not found) In which case I agree with Myleen. I think it totally takes the piss to request money for your kids birthday so that they can get a kindle. Either buy your kid a Kindle or tell them to save their pocket / birthday money for one. Don't expect other people to chip in, especially when other people may not have that much spare cash.
  7. Wise family room people, I need some ear muffs for my 5 year old. They need to 1. Keep her ears warm 2. More importantly reduce noise which bothers her. (but look nicer than ear defenders) Thanks in advance.
  8. My wife has been talking about learning to drive for ages, and we were thinking of looking at a "quick fix" option. I've read plenty about the pros and cons, so not really looking to discuss, just wondered whether anyone had done similar and could recommend a course?

No, I was joking when I said 2 easy games. But I think I did go for a draw against United, which I think WH are capable of this season if they go for it (if BFS lets them go for it) and if United's defence are as bad as they have been in some games.

I don't know what to expect from Liverpool's next two matches. Could be two great wins, or two damaging defeats. But they are starting to pick up a bit and I'm feeling (very) cautiously optomistic...
  11. Hmm, not sure what to go for with Liverpool. They're finding some consistency, but that's two big matches. Easy two wins for West Ham I see.

    Agreed! (about Shef United)
  13. Numpty is.Not offensive, but I think it came before the other thread, and the anonymity of it was a bit creepy.

  17. Dapper Papas? You're right, the name is pretentious shite, but it's still a nice shop for when you want that special babygrow for your precious new born which is a bit more special than the 3 packs you buy in Sainsbos. Not that I've been in there more than 2 or 3 times, and not for 3 or 4 years.

Good shout Jah, I can see that happening.
  19. Still won't save the Lib Dems come May though.
  20. Yummy mummies, and/or just, you know, parents? I've used it a couple of times and am neither yummy or a mummy.

Yeah I expect so too. But not an easy task for the new man. Hopefully for them they'll step up to try and impress the new boss.

Well that's a lot of use after the window closes so new person has no chance of signing anyone.
  24. Thanks for drawing attention to my spelling mistake there EP, much appreciated.

That would be exceptionally harsh. If he'd gone home injured and played 2 or 3 days later that would be one thing, but we're talking 2 and a half weeks later.
