  1. See what Jeremy just described sounds good (except the tartare sauce) but it's not cheese on toast, it's a toasties that includes cheese.

I'm with you on this one. Why must EVERYTHING be fancied up these days? If I want cheese and other ingredients on toast I'll ask for it, but to me cheese on toast means cheese on toast with maybe a drop of sauce or sprinkle of seasoning. I'm a red Leicester fan.
  3. But I don't think it was so.

  5. I agree with that, but I thought AQ was a bit harsh. No matter now anyway.
  6. A friend suggested a go there with a large sign reading "this "art" made my 3 year old cry" and just follow her around with it all day. I genuinely liked the idea, but I think today was the last day. Either that or it's nothing to do with Mirrorcity and she's just a complete headcase.
  7. Thanks for doing the detective work by the way. I did try yesterday but came up empty handed.

Ashley Cole was dropped, Gerrard and Lampard retired. I know Rooney is younger than them and that I am being harsh, but I wanted him to go with them and a big fat line to be drawn under the "golden generation". I'd rather see a proper TEAM built over some time, than rely on Rooney who is good (no one could really deny that), but not as special as some make out.

  11. Okaaaay, well it sounds like that's solved it, and it did leave me feeling unsettled, so I guess she played her part well. But, I think choosing balloons and drawing attention of little kids is still pretty shitty.
  12. Forget the cool thing. I just wouldn't feel I'd found a bargain. If you do, that's just peachy. I'd just think it was a good price.
  13. Totally normal clothes. Tried to make eye contact but she wasn't having it. All just very weird, and it's stayed in my daughter's mind because when we were talking about yesterday earlier, she said "that lady wouldn't talk to me and daddy ".
  14. I once got superglue on my Les Paul. That was not a good day.
  15. Surely you can flounce without actually leaving? I like to think I flounce occasionally.
  16. Er, I don't live in ED. Maybe you're right though, maybe she just likes carrying around 40 odd balloons and staring past people for shits and giggles. Or maybe you're just being a knob because you can't help it.

  18. You don't know how they can do a pizza for those prices? Really? Look I am not having a go or being negative about the place. The prices sound great, I'm not suggesting they should be any lower, and you wouldn't find many places where two people can eat and have a glass of wine for a score. It's just the word bargain. A bargain for me is when you pick something really cool up for way below the odds. Spending ?20 on a meal for two people will never be a bargain in my book (and yes I am aware you could spend way more than that in many other places locally). We make pizza at home a fair bit, because even if you use 100% fresh organic stuff, they are easy and cheap to make. The posh cheese on toast thing IS tiresome, I agree. But when you're talking about cost, pizza is just dough, some cheese and a small amount of other stuff. Even if they are very generous with the toppings, how much can you actually get on to a pizza? Aaaaanyway, I look forward to trying them sometime. IOt will be a nice very reasonably priced meal. Just not a bargain.
  19. I know, 2 in as many days.

I'll be with them on the sushi front. Although the raw just adds to the grimness of fish full stop.
  21. I'd be happy with the price. I still wouldn't think I'd found a right bargain.

And you keep supporting your club man if it makes you feel better. I said above, "it's not Rooney's fault", I'm just fed up with the way the media talk about nothing else. It's probably because of that that it's so obvious when he doesn't have a great game, because all the spotlight is firmly on him. But okay, I concede that he had a cracking tournament in Portugal. 10 years ago.
  23. That's the place. And I THINK the Late Knights chaps actually live in Penge, so "blow ins" would be harsh. If their prices at the new place are anything like the prices at Beer Rebellion, I'll certainly be happy. Was really impressed with the fact they weren't fleecing people for every penny they could squeeze out of them. Good to hear similar about the new pizza place on Lordship Lane. Many small businesses could learn a lesson from this attitude. Don't get greedy, and more people will actually come and spend their money. In the long run you'll make more.
