  1. This seems to be more about VI people waiting to cross roads, when they will rely on their dog to basically resist if there is danger (such as an unexpected hole in the ground). The dog won't be able to communicate that tyhere is a bike coming, and bikes being very quiet, VI people often won't hear them coming, so you can see how these accidents happen.
  2. I'm not bothered about dogs chewing stuff, as I doubt they'd really do much damage. But if I took my kid to a playground and they stepped (or worse, fell) in shit, I'd be livid. There is simply no need for people to take their dogs in there, end of. And ce, your post just makes you sound like a "virgin living in a flatshare" resorting to hiding behind a keyboard rather than actually having the bottle to be that muh of a prick to someone's face.
  3. Haha, yeah I wondered about the plastic surgery too. Although the point she was making is that they seem to do a lot of unnecessary animal testing, very little of which moves forward. I don't know how typical that is, but she seemed to be suggesting it wasn't.
  4. It's neither Quids' nor my line to be fair. http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/slow-clap I noticed Pamela Anderson refused to do it because of the level of animal testing they do. Apparently she's quite the animal rights campaigner.
  5. My cousin is from Arizona, and tells me it's a very gun friendly state. But she does say it feels the tide is turning what with all the school shootings and stuff... (she is disgusted by this by the way, and very much wants laws to change)
  6. Cheers, I hadn't actually gotten round to googling yet, but those are interesting links. Was wondering if anyone on here had any personal experience of it.
  7. Does anyone have experience of ASD kids using Minecraft? Were these positive experiences or not? Thanks
  8. I liked one with a stupid woman on a horse. The horse did not enjoy the cold water, so bolted, and she came off with a thud.

Settle down BR, everyone knows what great support City had when things weren't so great, but equally anyone that thinks success doesn't bring glory hunters is just plain deluded. But Lampard (if he really said that) was clearly joking anyway.
  12. So you don't think that social media has made people pretty vain? Selfies anyone?
  13. Haha ;-)
  14. I don't think it's so much your mates, as other people. If I'm drinking, I can tolerate the overly loud rugger bugger type, but if I was having to listen to their shit sober I'd want to kill myself. What annoyed me when on NA was that some (not all) pubs would charge the same for a NA bottle as they would for the real thing. They are WAY WAY cheaper in the shops, it just felt like an extra slap in the face.

Indeed. Mine is rolled out all the way up Lordshiplane, Sydenham Hill, Kirkdale, Newlands Park and in to Penge. Had to do it at night or it would have caused mayhem on the roads.
  16. I like lime & soda, but after a couple I get bellyache. Too acidic.

Lampard has confirmed retirement from international football. Saw this comment on the BBC site which really made me laugh. If he really said that, I like him a bit more. "Good effort Frank! met him the other day shortly after he arrived at City and says he's settled in well, adding: "I recognise many of the fans from when they supported Chelsea"

I've already decided that if I get nominated (I hope I don't because I'm skint) I am going to make a video of me making my donation via text, and post that.
  19. Becks Blue was the one I used most when trying to stay off the booze for a bit. Just make sure it's really really cold!
  20. Christ I've had a crappy start.

Because they use a "universal translator" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Universal_translator Although I don't see how this can work when they're meeting a new species for the first time. Yes, I was a bit of a trekkie in my yoot (Next Gen & DS9 especially. Voyager was okay)

  23. You still moved away! ;-) But then realised Dulwich was where your heart was. But perhaps unfortunate rather than tasteless.

Can't people donate anyway because > they care? > > Louisa. But it will have made a lot of people donate who wouldn't have donated. It's like they're paying a few quid for their moment of vanity. I've also seen people doing it who I think are doing it more out of keeping face with their mates than actual vanity.
  25. I'm torn on this. I wouldn't do it, and agree it's more about the attention for a lot of people, but as miga says, it's led to a lot of money being donated including by a lot of very wealthy celebrities. And a couple of the vids have made me laugh, most notably Dave Grohl's Carrie tribute, and a rather buxom ex colleague who probably with hindsight would have chosen not to wear the bright red bra under her white t-shirt.
