Very bold words from Bobby Charlton http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27337659 I think it's inevitable that United will come again, but I don't think they will ever be the dominant force year in year out that they have been since the early 90s.

  5. It always just felt a little bit elitist. I know that wasn't the intention, but most people just didn't feel it was for them I think.

It could ve an exciting final day if City are level or behind at half time... And yes Liverpool have benefited from no Europe but only in terms of their relatively small squad. I don't really buy that Europe has made it harder for the other teams who can field two all star teams.

I think he'll stay. Could just be wishful thinking but I genuinely think he'll be up for champs league with Liverpool. Of course that may depend what we do in the transfer market. Defo need a few players.

    Or Liverpool a better defence.
  9. I was always a bog advocate of bus travel and for years did the commute fro ED to Woolwich which is a bit of a mission. These days I'm more overground / DLR and as a result I now find buses much less pleasant. Not sure if it's more to do with drivers or brakes, but the inching forward and lurching makes me feel quite sick.
  10. Biped you've posted 3 times on this forum and it's clear you're a Charter supporter (fair enough). So I wonder if your response to my light hearted post would have been the same if roles were reversed and it was Charter who will be in the gazebo? (and HABS pitching the tent) Somehow I doubt it. Outrage when jt suits your agenda, bravo. But yes, I do find "it" funny, and by "it" I mean the thinly veiled sniping.

  12. A sausage loving (see gluten thread) poster that is not keen on Sly & reggie. I think you're on to something Jezza!
  13. Good one KK. This shop is very handy when you're at The Castle and you need fags. To be honest I'd never buy food from this sort of shop unless it was an absolute emergency.
  14. Can't see a 6 point overhaul, but fair play to Jah for closing what was a huge gap at one stage.

This always makes me think of a former colleague who would have fisherman's pie at least once a week and heat it in the microwave in the office. She was really lovely, but I hated her for that alone! (I don't do fish and the smell makes me feel sick)
  16. I'm laughing at the thought of Charter pitching a tent right in front of your gazebo. Think this is a very good move.
  17. I always thought the H was "honest".
  18. "They have a middle-class butchers on Bellenden Road called Flock and Herd ? the sort where you "source" your ingredients instead of buying them. No more needs to be said." This made me smile (as someone who wants to punch people that use the word "source" in this context).

I'm obviously hoping West Ham will surprise them on Sunday, but all the WH fans I've mentioned this to have just given me pittying looks.
