  1. I see Chelsea have signed Schurrle for ?18m. Seems like a potential bargain, he's only 22. Meanwhile, I'm pleased to see Liverpool active this summer, although I don't know much about their 2 new forwards. Seems they are preparing for life after Saurez though... I hope they can get Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but apparently there will be comptition. Will be sorry to see Reina go if indeed he does, but Mignolet looks a good replacement.
  2. I like the one abiut having your salary paid direct to the supermarket.
  3. Had this last year, and as others have said, defo try yourself. I got the grate up with a garden hand fork, then just used a plunger and chucked sone boiking water down. The grate was disgusting though.
  4. Yeah, the whole "it's a world cup year" thing was a bit crap. Perhaps he thought he might have one last chance at Liverpool, but Rogers is a stubborn bastard so that wasn't gonna happen. I wish him luck, as I've said, he never asked to be signed for ?35m, and I personally would have liked to have seen him given more of a chance at the pool. Just hope he can stay fit. If so, I think he'll do well.
  5. Has anyone mooned the camera yet?
  6. My one Wimbledon experience involved great seats on centre court. it also involved about 20% tennis to 80% rain. Was still pretty fun though.
  7. Hmm, with the exception of United, Liverpool's early fixtures look like games we can take points from (not to say we can't take points from United, but you know what I mean). Will be interesting to see whether they can make a strong consistant start...

  9. Kinnear and Ashley must be good mates, that is the only possible explanation surely! What with that and their loan shark shirt sponser, their fans must be wondering WTF is happening to their club.
  10. I think the "turned up to 11" is the problem Louisa.
  11. To be fair your user name does sound like a business. Only way to actually delete is for admin to do it. Easier to just not post if you don't want to.
  12. Don't you live in Peckham John?
  13. Not something I've wver said before, but on this subject I was right with George Galloway last night.
  14. BBC Reporting that a fight between Haye & Fury is close to being agreed for September. Could be interesting in that Haye is by far the better fighter, but Fury will have a lot of size advantage and no doubt try to lean all over Haye. Would have to say Haye though. If he lost to Fury it would be the end for him and a big result for Fury. Can't see it happening though.
  15. I too am a Yahoo user and got hacked once, but no problems since. I have a Gmail account, but just don't find it very user friendly when navigating.
  16. Haha, I am actually watching tonight, but usually it's exactly as *bob* says.

  18. I think the point is that it takes all your MP3s and converts them to the itunes format, thus taking up a load more disk space with duplicate media. They could have just played MP3s and shared. I hate itunes. Deleted it a couple of years ago, but have now reinstalled for use with ipod, but that is the only reason I use it. Just find it somehow non user friendly.

No one has argued with that.

Bit different now. For the last couple of years the prize has not been a job, but a ?250,000 investment in to a business. The finalists present their business plans, and srallen invests in the winner (and probably takes 50% of their profits for years after)!
  21. I love it, they are morons, that's the fun.
  22. I dunno, I'm no techie, but I thought the issue was that Android couldn't handle the sound lag, so if you plug as guitar in to your devise there will be a lot of delay between you striking a note, and the note registering on the devise.
  23. "I am attending a wedding in france this year, and will be going alone because the costs were too high." SNAP! Old school friend getting married. Wouyld love to be there with my wife and 2 girls, like everyone else will be, but I'll be the one on my own because we just can't afford it. Someone I know who got married abroad kept saying "well it's a holiday for everyone". I just wanted to say "I don't want my holiday in Cyprus in August thanks".
  24. Yeah but you wouldn't be using it without them in that case. If I was dropping a disabled person at a day centre, I could use their badge to park whilst I saw them in to the centre. If I then decided to go and do my shopping on the way home, I should not be parking in a disabled bay and using their badge. A blind person can have a blue badge, so of course it doesn't have to be the driver's badge, but it should only be used when it is fopr transporting the badge holder. Not because you're going to collect their medicine for them (for example).
  25. "Otta, the peeps who use the high-end stuff for actual real work (as opposed to playing Boggle, sending emails and flicking themselves off) are usually quite reticent when it comes to 'rushing out' to buy a new release. I certainly don't want one or need one any time soon." I'm sure you're right *bob*. I was thinking more ipad / ipod / iphone. I know quite a few graphic designers who use MACS simply because they're the best for their work. I have no problem with that, and would do the same. If I had the dosh I'd buy myself a MAC with all the music software I could get. As it is, I make to with Garage Band on an Ipod Touch 5th Gen, which works as well as an ipad, but is fiddly due to the small screen. I wish Android would up their game in the music app department, as I much prefer my S3 as a piece of kit, but so long as Apple are the only ones who can release this type of thing, you can't argue with that. I still don't like them as a company though. And I know companies are about money, but there's being about money and there's being about money. Not sure that makes any sense.
