  1. My daughter loves her soft toys, they live in a tent in the corner of the room, and she sits in there chatting away, and making up games with them.
  2. Surely he's not back tonight is he?!?
  3. Wooden toys are lovely, and more like pieces of art, but I do think there is quite a snobbery about them. We have both, and a couple of musical plastic toys are smash hits (Mozart magic cube is great IMO). Admittedly there are some God awful noisy toys with very happy American voices telling us "that's great!!!", but those just tend to go to a Charity shop as soon as the buyer has seen a photo of smiling child playing with it.
  4. Peterson cleared of performance enhancing doping, and allowed to keep the IBF title, but has to defend against Zeb Judah. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/19214365 Will be interesting to hear Khan's reaction, he'll probably wish he hasn't been so vocal, as I doubt Peterson will want to do business with him again.
  5. I feel all shivery today, and we never went to New Forest as planned.
  6. Rose moved away a while back, so guess she's fed up with having to come back and deal with the shop.
  7. Ah okay, I misread your post and thought you just meant Sundays. My bad.
  8. "Yes, you can go straight from Denmark Hill to Victoria but not on Sunday, after 7pm or before 7am. Say goodbye to your social life in central London." Surely if something was worth going to in central london, post 7pm on a Sunday, you'd go anyway and use one of the numerous other routes home.
  9. I tend to agree about the pubs you list, but I do think the GE feels a bit different. That said, I do tend to stay outside and pretend it's still the cpt.
  10. Longboy, is your ideal place the Bada Bing in The Sopranos?
  11. Tarafitness, that is exactly what I want to know. I always assumed he was the owner, in which case, even if the place becomes much nicer under new management, I still wouldn't want to line his pockets! Back in 2003/04 when it was first The Vale, me and my circle of friends had some absolutely great nights down there on Fridays & Saturdays, and spent fortunes (I used to dp ?100 every night I was there - Oh to be young and have your own money to spend on yourself again!), however, gradually he and his heavy handed bouncers just p!ssed everyone off so much that we all decided not to go anymore. And believe me, none of us ever got in to any arguments or trouble in there, it was just as though the bouncers were looking for people to row with in order to make themselves look useful. The owner/manager would stand with them at the door taking money like some sort of East End gangster from the Kray's period. Total and utter knob!
  12. What would be your ideal Longboy? I ask as someone who loved the old CPT, but thinks this new version is okay (not great, but okay).
  13. My cousin and I had a quick drink there last night about 9pm. Stayed outside so as to be as far from the jazz as possible. I don't think it's a pub that is ever going to be packed on a week night, I see them making their money through food mainly at the weekends. ?4.60 for a pint is just wrong!
  14. Forget the late licence, is there nothing we can do to stop the jazz?
  15. Have you been at the glue again UDT?
  16. The thought of El Pibe in a fight is hilarious!
  17. "But cowards to do anything serious to my face." Bit difficult when you hide behind a username on the internet.
  18. To be fair, no one has insulted anyone, they have simply quoted word for word things that UDT has felt the need to share on a public forum. You reap what you sow quite frankly.
  19. "it'll be a tight game"
  20. My neck hurts, I think I slept funny.
  21. He done a nice feel good part in "maid in dagenham" not too long ago, and as a child of my generation he was great in "who framed Roger rabbit". Long good Friday and Mona Lisa are my favourites though.
  22. That sucks, I like Bob.
  23. Liverpool haven't done that much either, other than losing players, and announcing that Agger could go for the right price!
  24. Sue, you seem a very nice lady on the occasions I've met you, I mean that. However, when you get the bit between your teeth you're like a bulldog with a bone! I haven't even seen these recent posts, but I can guess what it's about. It's uncomfortable reading for everyone else (in a sort of car crash way), and very unfair on admin, who is not paid to run this forum under a certain set of rules that we all have a say in. This forum is given to us all to use, but it's not fair to involve admin in your personal issues. Just let it go, or take it all the way to court if you want to, but don't play it out on here, it's just embarrassing.
