Yeah, the original old skool Uplands was turned in to the uplands you describe around that time. The food was pretty shite. Also would agree that by then the foresters was pretty grim, but it had been better previous to that. There were a bunch of local lads who had basically been barred from pretty much everywhere else, so the foresters became their base camp in the last years of it's existence.

Walcott??? I hadn't heard that as a rumour. I think someone already said it, but surely having a plan B is no bad thing. Chelsea showed against Barca and England showed that sometimes you can frustrate the passing teams, so if Liverpool are being frustrated bring on Carroll and change things up. Either that or lose ?15m - ?20m. Liverpool paying ?35m for Carroll has basically buggered the poor lad right up.

I am really surprised by this whole Andy Carroll thing. Surely you at least have a training session with your player before offloading him! Not impressed with Rogers over this. Hope it is not a sign of things to come! Now, if he were to offload Downing, I could understand that!

Heard some woman talking about guilty pleasures on the radio recently. She was basically saying that people call things guilty pleasure when they basically don't think the people they'd want to impress would think it was cool enough. I think she was spot on when it comes to stuff like music or films. With things like drugs or booze, it's more the fact you know it's not good for you (as with biscuits to a lesser extent), so it feels a bit naughty. I can't imagine actually feeling guilty about doing any of these things though.
