  1. I genuinely prefer women's tennis to mens, and not because of the skirts. I think it's more entertaining, without the big power serves. Although saying that, the women's game has become more and more about power in recent years, which is a shame. That is why Hingis, who was an amazing player, couldn't really compete a few years ago when she made her come back. Her game wasn't based on power, like that of the Williams sisters.
  2. Agreed. The women are very good, but it's just not as physical or exciting.
  3. Just smiling at the term "female sportswomen" ;-)
  4. Just finished wrapping kids presents. First couple are very neat. After that, they get worse and worse. They won't care I guess.
  5. Personally, I think Rafe is cool, and a million times better than Ralph.
  6. Ha ha, I did have a bit of a cartoon crush as a kid!
  7. "storm in a B cup" heh heh.
  8. That really is sickening. A great player, but a real nasty piece of work, with far to big an ego.
  9. That is unfair. I'd like you to explain exactly why you believe marriage to be a better form of stable relationship.
  10. Right, a serious thread, about a serious issue! If you are around my age, then there is a good chance that you were a Thundercats fan as a kid. Bask in the memories. This morning, I was watching telly with my little one, when I noticed Thundercats was on, so I thought I'd have a look for old times sake. Imagine my shock when I was confronted with this Now I'm sure it's very good and all that, but surely they should just leave certain things alone, for the love of God!!!
  11. Just ask your mum to earn her dinner by cleaning the oven.
  12. Van Der Vaart out with a hamstring problem. Explains why he was anonymous before being taken off last night.
  13. Thanks for that Atticus, it's a very well written piece.
  14. Marmora Man Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I'm just in favour of stable relationships > and believe marriage to be a better form of stable relationship. Why?
  15. Parkdrive / Ladygooner, are you aware that Arsenal match is now at 3pm on the 27th. It's on BBC Website.
  16. I just can't believe people can drink all day and smoke on their benefit money. Had I known this, I would've quit work years ago!
  17. Hopefully I'll see you there Jah...
  18. I think that once you are married, and especially after having a kid, you feel it's a lot harder to walk away, having to deal with divorce and all that. I imagine a lot of people make the best of it and stay in marriages, where they normally would have walked. This is not a good thing for any child growing up in a home with two parents who hardly get on. I am also happily married with two kids by the way. And I don't read the Guardian.
  19. No, it was definitely Suarez, and yes, "balance of probabilities" is the term they used.
  20. That's a good one Chippy :) Also a good song from the Arsenal.
  21. How do you know they're on benefits though?
  22. Jesus Fox, have you been working with Australian benefits agencies for aboroginal people?
  23. Turned on Radio 4 this morning half way through a discussion about this, and they pointed out that in a law court, it would need to be proven beyond reasonable doubt, whereas in this case, it was just based on what the panel deemed as more likely.
  24. The other two must have been cringing! I physically cringed.
  25. Alan Hansen, that great ambassador of LFC using the term coloured. Cheers Alan, that's a great help.
