  1. Pathetic poverty porn. They will always find some wanker that just takes the puss, and they'll put them on telly and (stupid) peiple wa5ch and decide that's the norm.
  2. But given the child had already been taken out of school for a holiday in that school year, you can see why the head might have thought they were taking the piss a bit.
  3. And it has not taken away the discretion of the head.
  4. If I had the money and the opportunity to take my children to Florida Disney, and it was then or never, I'd have gone and I'd have paid the bloody 60 quid and shut the fuck up about it.
  5. Didn't do too bad considering I forgot the weekend.
  6. I kind of agree with the post above. This is a pretty new cinema, presumably you applied for the jobs knowing full well what the pay was?
  7. BBC Says "The ruling rejects Mr Platt's argument that despite missing a week of school for a holiday, his daughter had regularly attended over the course of the year, with an attendance rate of over 92%."

Are you sure about this? I assumed that the 92% included the holiday? I still agree 100% with you, but really hope you're right, as that makes it even easier to call him a twat.
  9. With free speech comes some responsibility. He is a public figure and should have known that this bul!shit was going to cause upset. Actually he clearly did know that and he chose to do it anyway. And then repeat it again and again.
  10. Ha, yes, I bet he's the first to complain if there's a teacher's strike and his free child care gets affected.
  11. We're taking kids out of school (only fo4 a day) to attend a family event. I emailed the head and she said she was more than happy tp okay it and wished then a good time. It really is down to the head teacher. The problen is that there is little clarity on what "exceptional circumstances " means.
  12. rahrahrah Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Who the hell fights a case of a ?60 fine in the Supreme court. I don't think they had a choice. When he won an earlier hearing it was all over social media, and the meesage was "we have the power, take your kids out when you like". The government wilol have very much been behind this I reckon.
  13. You are right, and the 2 week thing was stopped. But it's still down to the head at the end of the day. All this case is about is that the head said no, and this bloke didn't like being told no. But most schools and LAs will look for around 96% attendance (missing no more than 7.5 days). 92% means this child missed 3 full weeks of school across the year. I don't know why that was, but in my book 3 weeks is quite a bit of school to miss.

    Football Focus

I just can not see Chelsea dropping another 7 points (and Spurs not dropping any) between now and the end of the season. Chelsea's title all day long. But yes, Spurs are starting to look the real deal across the team.
  15. Isn't that exacrtly what this ruling says? I am really pleased the guy lost. If you can afford flights to Florida and Disney, you can afford to just pay the ?60 fine and shut the f**k up about it. That's not to say I don't think you should ever take kids out of school, but if there isn't a good reason (and Disney isn't a good reason) then you shouldn't start screaming about knowing what's best for your kids. It's just entitlement for me.

But this is the ending. " Anyway. Facebook provides too much space, really, for all this. I?ll leave with the words, shall I, of Adolf Hitler in Mein Kampf, before he went mad, of course, according to Ken. So exactly in that period when he was, as we know, supporting Zionism. This is what Adolf said in there. I may have as much of a tin ear for meaning as Ken has for anti-Semitism, but I can?t, for the life of me, make this out to be as pro the idea of the creation of a Jewish state as Livingstone insists it is: ?While the Zionists try to make the rest of the World believe that the national consciousness of the Jew finds its satisfaction in the creation of a Palestinian state, the Jews again slyly dupe the dumb Goyim. It doesn't even enter their heads to build up a Jewish state in Palestine for the purpose of living there; all they want is a central organisation for their international world swindler, endowed with its own sovereign rights and removed from the intervention of other states: a haven for convicted scoundrels and a university for budding crooks." 17. The state of Israel does some really bad stuff. It is not anti semitic or anti zionist to say that (some would disagree, but they're wrong), it's just fact. Bit Livingstone has picked about yhe most sensitive part of history to jewish people he could possibly pick, he has vastly exaggerated some history, and added some out and out fiction And in saying that Hitler then "went mad" he is suggesting that at one point he was perfectly reasonable and sane. It's intentionally inflammatory, and his insistence on keeping it up just shows that he is intentionally antagonising people. I've never liked him, I've always felt hos self intereat was top priority, and I suspect he lined his pockets very well whilst mayor. But now he has just shown himself up as the absolute scum that he is.

    Happy Brexit Day

I laugh every time I hear that phrase, because the first thing to pop in to my head is the French flag.
  19. I too am looking for someone other than Labour that I can get behind. Still a member, and there are good people trying to do things at a local level, but the leadership is a joke. However, at least Corbyn has stepped in now over this http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-39499640
  20. The fact is, Jews suffered something totally unique in halocaust. There have been genocides, but the number of people that were systematically slaughtered in death camps is unlike anything else. To suggest that the architect of that slaughter had gone mad, but before that was some sort of friend and supporter to the Jews is staggeringly insensitive. And even now he will not back down one step, and this shows that he is a nasty little toad that needs shutting down.
  21. Just been given a heads up that the slightly unhinged Lewis is asking on twitter for the real identity of me (not hard to find Lewis) and various others from this thread.
  22. "to enable them to start their fit out" Er, so what has been happening for the last couple of years?
  23. So this group that were just cosying up to UKIP and a openly anti Semitic fucktard, are now claiming to be fighting for the rights of Muslims and Jews. Beyond a joke now, you should be bloody ashamed of yourselves you twisted morons.
  24. He was a pretty big puncher, they say that's the last thing to go. Has DeGale's chin really been tested yet (honest question)?
  25. Or at least beat someone of note first so a title could be on the line.
