But that link it quite funny.

I thought his speech was pretty good, and dare say he couldn't have impressed you whatever he said. He paid tribute to his opponents, he made a direct appeal to the press to keep people's families out of it, and he got the crowd going. It was a speech for the people that had just voted for him, if he couldn't play to them yesterday when could he?
  6. So Mayweather matches the record of 49 wins undefeated. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/34191454 Insisting he's now going to retire. May well stick to that just to annoy people. Would have liked to have seen him take on both Khan and Brooke, but can't see either ever happening.

I cringed at the whole people's flag thing. For me JC's role is this 1. Realign the centre so that it is actually in the middle. 2. Make life less comfortable for the government and highlight some of their less morally sound policies. 3. Make way for a new younger leader who doesn't come across as another one off the production line of shiny new career politicians. We'll see how it all works out.

I just knee Martial would score against Liverpool today. Game didn't really deserve a 3-1 scoreline, and shame Benteke's goal will be well overshadowed, it was a beaut.
  10. I t also depends on personal taste. Some people want different things from their steak. I adore fillet steak, but occasionally you just need a bit of rump to satisfy your carnivorous needs.

Indeed, although I was thinking "shut up about London Jezza, you don't want to alienate the North in your first speech".

So that's that. At least things might be interesting for a bit. Say what you like about being a party of opposition, but right now we need opposition desperately.

Yep, don't think he's in it for the long game.

Yeah, now you'll have to meet his new release clause next summer.

I voted for him, so pleased to see this news pop up today.
  16. What maxxi said. And what *Bob* said. Frankly your new neighbours are probably starting to wonder whether they've made a terrible terrible mistake.
  17. So how much does a steak set you back in the Palmerston?
  18. And all of them believe they're in the right. Which is why it's such a mess and there's no solution in sight. I do wish IS/ISIS/ISIL/Whatbloodyever would just get wiped off the face of the earth though.

I don't even know what / where Hawksmoor is, which rather suggests it's not for the likes of me.
  20. Fair point. DC used the word and I assumed it was from your OP. My bad. But I do think you'll find a lot of unreasonably priced food around ED, and this is not me saying "go to wetherspoons it's as good as Franklins". Anyway, hope you get a good steak, report back.
  21. United Vs Liverpool genuinely interesting this time round. Neither team really know quite what they're doing yet, and I suspect it'll be won or lost by a bit of individual magic or an individual mistake.
  22. Indeed, and that's what I was thinking of. But I think a better question here would be "where can I get a steak that isn't overpriced" rather than "cheap".
  23. Does the amount you pay for something somehow affect the taste these days then?
  24. Well that was an unnecessarily arsey post robbin. I would be livid if the bank gave out a load of MY money (No it wasn't their's, the victim has been without these funds for a number of days, that is a real pain) without requesting sufficient ID.
